Is the squelch turned to where there's no noise when there is no transmission being heard on the radio? Also make sure that all the channels haven't gotten locked out. If they are, you should see something like L/O on the screen.

Locking/Unlocking IDs Contents You can lock out IDs you don't want to hear such as telemetry, MDT's, dog catcher, etc. To Lock out an ID while scanning, quickly press L/OUT while the ID is displayed. To Lock or Unlock an ID manually: 1. In Manual mode select any channel of the bank you want to lock or unlock an ID in by entering the bank number and channel number (Ex: 001) then press MAN to advance to the channel. 2. Press PGM then TRUNK to put the scanner in program and trunk modes. You will see the bank number (0-9), list number (0-4), and the list status (ON or OFF) on the 1st line, the ID# in the list (0-29) on the 2nd line, the ID on the 3rd line, and bank tag on the 4th line (if programmed). 3. Press TRUNK (each time) to select the ID list (0-4). 4. Select the ID# (0-29) by pressing or (or press and hold; faster) then press L/OUT to lock or unlock the ID. An L will appear to the right of the ID# if the ID is locked out. 5. Press MAN to exit programming. To Unlock IDs in a bank: 1. In Manual mode select any channel of the bank you want to view the locked out IDs in by entering the bank number and channel number (Ex: 001) then press MAN to advance to the channel. 2. Press PGM then TRUNK to put the scanner in program and trunk modes. You will see the ID list. 3. Press FUNC then L/OUT (each time) to view the locked IDs. Press L/OUT to unlock the ID. The next locked out ID will appear. 4. Press MAN to exit programming. Note: You cannot unlock all IDs at one time.

You won't damage anything with 12 volts. Equipment built for use in automobiles will often have a DC input marked 13.8 volts because it's the voltage delivered by a fully-charged battery. But any supply around 12 volts will work. Just be sure the supply has enough current available (around an amp should be fine for a scanner), and that you get the polarity right when connecting it.

To remove the lockout from a channel, manually select the channel and press L/OUT so L disappears.

Initializing the scanner will erase all programmed information and return your scanner to its original factory settings. To initialize your scanner:

- Power the scanner OFF.
- Power the scanner ON. "Multi-system Trunking Scanner" appears on the display.
- Press 0 (zero) while the above message is displayed.
- Press 1.
- Press ENT. "Initializing please stand by" appears on the display.

DO NOT power the scanner OFF until the initializing process is complete and the display shows "M000 Bank0 Ch00"

This problem is caused by oxidation on the cable tip. All that has to be done is pull the flex cable from the connector on the back of the display and cut off the tip of it. Put a dab od antioxident on the cable and put it back in the connector. This has fixed several scanners we have had come through our shop.

The PRO-2055 is a versatile conventional/trunking scanner, but it does not have the capability to monitor APCO-25 digital transmissions. For an operating manual that is "Easier To Read" than the factory operating instructions, follow this link:

the unlock command is done from the manual mode.

If you scanner is in the scan mode, push the "MANUAL"button to stop the scanning feature.

Next you need to go to the channel you want to unlock. If you are only a few channels away, while in the manual mode, push the up or down arrows to step (one push per channel to be stepped though) to the channel to be unlocked.

A direct method is to enter the channel number on the keypad and then push the "manual" button. The display should show the channel you desire.

If the channel lockout is on, the second line on the display will show "LO+". Push the keypad button marked "L/OUT" once. The "LO+" should change on the display from uppercase to a lowercase "lo+". The channel is now unlocked.

You might go to this site and try the "reset" mode. This will clear all channels, but may allow your scanner to once again work properly after frequencies are put back in. http://marksscanners.com/97/97.shtml#reset At least it costs nothing to try!....Good luck!

There should be a switch in the back,switch it, now see if you can get it to change.hope this helps.........

Hi you should be able to hit the manual button and take it to channel 6 and hit the unlock button
