It won't charge anymore, when
The computers contact point for the charging cord is "VERY" sensitive for me. I had to try many times to actually see the charging "icon" light up before letting it charge. Many times the icon would go back to "battery" during charge and I would have to re-try the connection again... Very annoying. If the battery get so drained that you can't see the "charging" icon, then it's a guessing game as to whether it's charging or not. I needed to re-install the OS and it took me 3 days to get my battery charged that way.

The power cells may be defective and thus the battery will no longer accept a charge. Replace the internal power cells.

If your Motion Computing device originally shipped with Windows XP, then you have a license to re-install Windows XP onto your computer. Telephone the manufacturer, and order a set of "System Restore" CD disks. Use those disks to re-install Windows.
Tablet starts up and goes right back off
That almost sounds like a dead battery, or your battery isn't holding a charge. Have you tried using it while it is still connected to the charger? If you do have it hooked to the charger power and it stays on, it's a bad battery. If if does the same thing while plugged in, it's a problem with the power supply in the tablet.

"rom"? What exactly are you trying to do? Are you referring to ROM as part of the tablet's memory? If yes, you probably will not be able to do it. ROM is a memory chip built onto the circuit board itself inside the tablet. You would need to completely dismantle the tablet to do it. Most tablets are not built to be taken apart for repairs.
