My computer won't register my zen
I was having the same problems as all you guys, zen not detected, install driver, cant find driver etc...I finally clicked on the usb serial bus controllers in (control panel-system-hardware-device manager) and right clicked update driver for the usb.It found a driver on the c drive automatically,I rebooted, and everything worked.I noticed previously in the device manager I had 2 usb controllers (one for 2.0 and one for 1.xx).After the update it only shows one,and all my usb devices work, including the Zen!.
I charge the MP3 player and it still shows "low battery" message.
There is a trick to charging the battery in these small mp3 players. It won't charge if it is turned on, and it won't charges if it's turned off. Here's what to do...
1. plug the player into your USB port. or wall charger
2. switch the player on using the mechanical switch (on the side)
3. turn it off by either holding down the play button, or selecting "System" from the menu
4. The screen will go black and the battery will begin charging.
That is if the battery is still chargeable after all this time. The battery may well require replacing.
Mine isn't a ZEN V Plus but it is a ZEN mp3
it could be the battery that is dead, however it is more likely that the chargers your are trying do not match the voltage needs necessary to charge it. just because a charger fits does not mean that it will actually charge it. LI-ion batteries are VERY picky and some can explode (literally EXPLODE as in bang, where did my hand go) if the wrong voltage is applied. here's the thing, most devices have a fail-safe built into them so that you cannot mess up the battery unfortunately the first charger you tried could have fried this making it unchargeable the reason the other charger works is because when a proper voltage is applied the power is split between running the device and charging the battery (this is cut off if too much power is applied) the actual battery takes very little power to charge you should look up the player via google and take not of the voltage and amperage needed to charge it these are important, there is a good chance it will still work. just buy the proper cable to hook it up to the PC this should charge it however that's not a guarantee the olympus mr100 for instance, would not charge via PC only with the dock and wall adapter. good luck and i hope this helps!
P.S. there is still the possibility that the bat. is fried and you may need a new one.

Player gone dead, can't switch on
Hello :
You need to replace the battery because I think that the old one is already dead [ can't be recharged anymore ] .
good luck .
please rate .
It wont work
Did it come with a drivers disc? Some specialty MP3 players do. You'll need to install these drivers for windows to recognize as windows will generally only recognize MP3 players whose hard drives are set up like flash drives, but if it has it's own operating system, like higher-end MP3 player such as Creative ones and iPods, they need drivers.
If it doesn't have a disc, try the link below, see if there's drivers/troubleshooting guides or applications for your product.
