If you have any application that uses the webcam (such as Skype) run it. You will have access to the camera. If you have face recognition software run it. It will turn on the camera. But more importantly look in the Start>All Program>Acer menu for a webcam application. Do read the user's manual to find out what the name of the web cam application is.

Did you go to the control panel and set clock?

Is the adapter turned on? That means the software, hardware, and device switch must all be in the ON position. Otherwise, it won't work. Try resetting your Wi-Fi Adapter in Device Manager.

Can you see the drive in (my computer)? What software are you using to watch DVD'S? Is this a burner or just a DVD drive? You need software to burn DVD'S and CD's. W indows has this but it is not that good. Try Nero to burn disk. Try Power DVD or another player like Divx. Windows Media player should play them if it is updated.
Make sure that you do not have auto run turned off. You will find these in the properties for your DVD drive.

Try removing and resetting your memory modules.
Blow some air in the slots to remove any dirt trapped in there.
They are locate don the back of your laptop.
The instructions are in the manual under how to change or upgrade memory modules.

What software are you trying to use it with? Acer provided software? Have you checked the settings in the specific software you are trying to use? Often you must do a setup in some software, ID'ing your webcam. Is the webcam in Device Manager, under imaging devices? Enabled? Driver OK?
