Look at your memory card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

If you're up to doing the replacement yourself, you can order a new LCD assembly here. If not, you can take the camera to a reputable camera shop and have a trained professional do the replacement. A third alternative is to buy a new camera to replace the five-year-old SD750.

There is a very small lock switch on the side of your memory card, this will be set to locked at the moment this prevents any changes on the card. If you flick the swithc to unlock it you should have no issues from there.

The date and a lot more are stored with every photo in its EXIF metadata. Just about any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. If you want to print it, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using. Depending on the program and printer, you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Move top selector all the way to right,

5. Hit Menu, now you can select time date stamp

1 Turn the Canon Powershot A560 over so the bottom is facing up. 2 Locate the door on the bottom of the camera. The door is labeled "CARD/BATT. OPEN." 3 Place your thumb on the slider on the door. Push the slider up to unlock the door. Then, slide the door out to open it. 4 Find the SD card. Inside you will see four batteries and the tip of a small plastic disc. This plastic disc is the SD card. 5 Eject the sd digital memory card. To eject the card, gently push on it and then release the pressure. The SD card will pop out part way. Go ahead and pull out the card. 6 Turn the card so the writing is right-side up. On either the left or right side of the card, you will see a grove with a tiny plastic switch in it. If the switch is at the bottom of the groove, the SD card is locked. 7 Unlock the SD card. Using a fingernail, slide the switch to the top of the groove. The card is now unlocked. 8 Return the SD card to the camera. Place the card in the slot and push down until you hear a click. The card is now successfully reinstalled. Do not worry about inserting the card the wrong way, because it will only fit one way.

Unfortunately, no. By recording in fast mode, the camera captured fewer frames than usual. When played back at the normal speed, the action appears faster than normal. Because the camera recorded fewer frames, there is no way to make up for the images that were not captured. You could slow down the playback, but the result would be a jerky, jumpy video.Now, if you had accidentally captured the video in slow motion, you could then throw away some of the intervening frames and recreate a normal-speed video.

Having gone over a month with no response to my query, I assume my suggestion to use a card reader solved the problem.

Skip the cable, software and so on.Get a card reader/writer. They are not very expensive, and can be bought at most stores such as Walmart, Walgreens, Officemax, Radioshack, and so on.No software is necessary and the camera does not need to be used at all. Simply put the card in the reader and copy all files to the computer.

I would recommend never to edit any pictures on the camera. First copy all files to a hard drive, then do your editing. You can delete, that is okay.The problem which can happen on cameras trying to edit, is possible corruption.Avoid problems by copying to a computer, then edit with your favorite editor or other kind of program.

Camera will need to be repaired. The best deal to get the Powershots fixed is at this site: www.camerasandparts.com All they do is service Canon Powershots only and the work with them is top-notch. They're about half the cost of what Canon charges and they include parts, labor and shipping back, plus they do the service for the camera included. Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as iPhoto, Windows Photo Gallery, or Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

You could try recovery software. Give MiniTool a try (it's freeware), to see if it identifies and thus can save the pic to your computer. See this link.

Ok. there're three possible causes for this. I'll list them and the relevant procedures of resolution by probability of occurrence.

1. Damaged data cable- (confirmed if the following 2 doesn't fix the problem) if this is the case, you need to get a new cable.
2. Damaged USB port on computer- Confirm by trying to connect cam to a different port (i.e.- try the rear ports if you were using one on the front) or to a different computer. If this is the case, you need to get a USB expansion card that will give your computer some extra USB ports.
3. Damage on camera's side (could range from a simple broken port tab to circuit damage) confirm by: connecting a different camera to your computer using the same data cable. If this is the case you will have to take the camera to where you bought it from for repair (remember to check whether you can still claim your warranty.)

When you transfer this pics at pc... they are purple too? Could be a problem with the LCD screen viewer or CCD Image sensor go to bad. In both cases this isn't a job that you could solve yourself; this wrong include distorted images or abnormal colors, scratchy purple lines, blank or black pictures, and/or black videos with good sound being recorded on the camera's flash card.

Melinda, A stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, sometimes with lines, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open). To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture. You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. If so, please see this link for further info and a simple fix that may help.

If the card is full then transfer the pictures to your computer and delete them off the card.
