My comp is running super
Each memory slot can hold DDR PC2700 or DDR PC3200 with a maximum of 1GB per slot. Four slots means 4GB maximum.
Windows XP should run fine with 512MB, but 1GB or more is best.
Vista needs a minimum of 1GB but 2GB or more is preferred.
If your system has a speed issue, it could be from too many startup programs (adding ram would help) or a damaged/corrupt operating system or a virus infection. It could also need a Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragment, your page file could be too small or you hard drive could be running out of space. It could also be that you have certain programs, like TrendMicro PC-cillin, that cause a huge drain on system resources.
Re-post if you are having any other issues (popups, programs won't run, programs close with errors). Include specifics like operating system, system ram, hard drive size, anti-virus running, etc.

Motherboard won't post.
You have a either a bad board or you have to setup first the built on video card. Then the aftermarket one. Set it in the Bios to primary onboard one. But take out the aftermarket one first before you do this. Then go ahead and post. Let me know. Or call me

Monitor won't turn on
Verify all of the power supply connections have been made. Also, verify the RAM is properly seated. You might also try moving the RAM to other slot(s).

Switch on back of PSU needs to be turned off and on after restarting Windows XP to successfully POST
If there is an update for your bios I would suggest applying it after you get the system working properly again. It won't hurt to reset the cmos either, also be sure the smaller Ram is in slot A, some motherboards need it this way. Also are your RAM matched, I>E> both high/low density. Running with minimum RAM will rule out some of these questions so disregard any impertanant suggestions, and let us know how you come along.

Maybe one of the memory slot on your motherboard is faulty. Try testing each slot by placing one memory module on a slot and start your pc. If your pc made beeping sounds, that slot might be faulty. Do this on the other slots.
