Can i place new cells in my hp omnibook4100 laptop

If you have Power Cells attached now, simply disconnect them from the bottom of the computer case and replace it with the same type. Remember to set the Battery memory by doing a 24 hour charge when new, then run the computer until it is fully discharge and the computer shuts down. Do another over night charge and the power cells obtain a memory for long lasting use.

Starting up the note book

Hello.

The most common reasons for power issues are the battery, power jack and power adapter/cord.

Power off and remove the battery. If the laptop powers on with just the adapter connected, your battery is faulty.

If you move/wiggle the power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem.

The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement. If a power jack problem, it should be addressed by someone knowledgeable.

If no change, the power adapter is probably faulty and needs replacement.

Hope this helps.

Hi i have a hp

This is an older model laptop. Most online videos today are encoded using high ratio codecs like H.264, which require a lot of processing power to be able to decode in full screen full motion high definition (720p or better) video. Typically, you need either a newer dual core processor or a display adapter that is capable of hardware H.264 decoding to do this.
If the video you're trying to watch is available in a lower definition, you may have more luck with that (in youtube, it's in the lower right corner - the number with a "p" at the end, pick 480p or lower). Otherwise, I'd say it's time for an upgrade.

Dose the hp omnibook xe4100

You could do with the instruction manual, download from here:-

http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/lpi06480/lpi06480.pdf

On page 14, it shows where the wireless on-off button would/should be

on page 67 it states:-

If your computer includes a wireless on-off button-located on the right side of the front

of the computer-you can connect by radio to a wireless local area network (LAN) and

access computers and other resources on the network.

A wireless network provides all the functions of a typical "wired" network, but also

provides for "roaming." Since your computer connects to the network by radio rather

than through cables, you can move from place to place within the network-from your
office to a conference room, for example-and remain on the network the entire time.

The video does not support the games

The embedded video chip on this laptop cannot be upgraded so you're stuck with it. Nothing can be done to fix that, apart of course buying a new pc.

Reset bios password of HP omnibook xe4100

If you don't know the password on the BIOS of your laptop, then it's likely that you won't be able to reset it. That's a down-side about putting BIOS passwords on a laptop. Some of the laptops were made with a reset button on the bottom of the computer. If your computer has it, it will look like the usual hole for a reset button. If you find a reset button on your laptop, then you are fortunate - just don't stick anything in the hole that will conduct electricity. If your laptop doesn't have a reset button hole, then about the only other way to reset\remove the password is to find someone who has schematics of that particular motherboard and is able to replace the BIOS chip. This is likely to cost you alot of money - probably more than the computer is worth.

It beeps only has black screen

Hi,

You can try the following steps:

1. Unplug the power from the laptop and remove the battery then press the power button of the laptop for 15 seconds

2. Put the battery back in, turn on the laptop without plugging the power to the laptop (If this didn't resolve the issue)

3. Remove the battery and press the power button of the laptop for 15 seconds, after that, plug the power cord and turn on the laptop (if this didn't resolve the issue)

4. Remove the power cord and press the power button of the laptop for 15 seconds, disconnect the Hard drive and turn on the laptop (If this didn't resolve the issue) reconnec the hard drive

5. Remove the Optical Drive and turn on the laptop (If this didn't resolve the issue) reconnect the optical drive

6. Remove the memory chip, if you have 2 memory chips installed in the 2 memory slots (remove both of them) now test each one of the memory to each slots turning on the laptop. (If this didn't resolve the issue) Put the memory chip back in

7. Reseat the CPU and try to make sure that it's installed properly. Turn on the laptop and test if it's gonna work (If this didn't resolve the issue)

8. Reseat the power cords coming from the power supply of the laptop and test the laptop. (If this didn't resolve the issue)

9. Disconnect everything and just leave the CPU installed and turn on the laptop.

10. If all else fails, there's a big possibility that the problem may be with the power supply or the motherboard of the laptop.

(Note: you may try to clean your computer if there is a large amount of dust. You may try to remove the CMOS battery)

regards,

Hp supply central pin connected to the 19V power

  1. Central Pin: In many laptop power supply connectors, especially those using the barrel-type connector, there's a central pin that carries the voltage (typically around 19 volts for most laptops) to power the device.
  2. Voltage and Polarity: It's crucial to ensure that the voltage supplied by the power adapter matches the requirements of your laptop. Most laptops operate on 19 volts, but there are exceptions, so always double-check the specifications of your laptop and the power supply.
  3. Polarity: Additionally, the polarity of the connector is important. The central pin typically carries positive voltage, while the outer sleeve of the connector is the ground (negative). Reversing polarity can damage your laptop, so make sure the connector is inserted correctly.
  4. Safety: Always use the power adapter that came with your laptop or a compatible replacement from a reputable manufacturer. Using an incorrect or incompatible power adapter can not only damage your laptop but also pose safety hazards such as overheating or electrical fires.
  5. Replacement: If you need to replace your laptop's power adapter, ensure that the new adapter provides the correct voltage, polarity, and wattage for your laptop model. It's often safer to purchase adapters from the laptop manufacturer or certified third-party suppliers to guarantee compatibility and safety.
