Most likely bad connections. Tighten all cable connections.

Will likely have to reset you router and set it up again. Check you manual on how to do this.

If other channel work better, use that.

Pull the AC plug out for a 30 seconds or so and plug back in.

Try typing either 192.168.0.1 or 192.16.1.1 in the address bar of your web browser.

Since the nook is wireless, I don't understand what the problem is. Doesn't your nook make a wireless connection? Does it recognize any of the other wireless signals in your area? If it doesn't recognize any wireless signals, then the problem is in your nook and not from your router. Try going by a Barnes and Nobel book store and see if it will log onto theirs. And most Barnes and Nobles have people trained on Nook troubleshooting.

Check on the bottom of the router and locate where the MAC ID is and try that.

No... assuming you are using an ethernet connection. The USB light is only for when you are connecting via a USB cable.

• Note: Resetting your router to the factory defaults not only changes your router user name and password to the factory default values, but it also deletes all your home network settings. Have you disabled the wifi sleep policy? (Settings > Wireless & networks > Wireless settings > Menu > Advanced)

Are you trying to connect wireless? Have you check if it will work via hard wired cable connection? If you want you can check for the configuration settings of your router and check if internet will work after these steps.Follow this instructions:1. connect via hard wired connection using your PC (network cable)2. open your internet explorer or any browser.3. type the numbers 192.168.1.1 on the address bar4. you will be routed to your router's settings, type admin for USERNAME: and admin for PASSWORD.5. look for the basic setup/settings6. look for the wireless settings7. under your SSID comes the WEP or WPA-PSK option8. that is your wi-fi password, then modified it and remember the password you use for you will need to enter it on your pc when you are connecting via wireless connection.you can select ASCII for password. it should be alpha numeric or combination of letters and numbers.9. select save and apply. then you are good to go.
