My printer is showing error

The error message "Print Unable 46" is an indication that the machines ink absorbers are almost full. The ink absorbers hold liquid and dried ink after it has been purged from the print head. These absorbers can control enough ink for the expected life of the machine.

There is a possibility that this message may have occurred in error. Upgrading the firmware of the Brother machine may resolve the issue. Follow the procedure below to determine if a firmware update is required:
-if the display screen is displaying an error message, press the STOP/EXIT key to change the LCD to the main screen.
-press the # and * key at the same time. The first 2 characters on the top row will determine the ROM version.

If the ROM version is OE or greater (example: OF, OG, OH, etc), the firmware does NOT need to be upgraded. If the ROM version is OA, OB, OC or OD, follow the procedure on this link to upgrade the firmware.

If the message "Print Unable 46" continues to appear on the display the Brother machine after completing the firmware upgrade and your machine is within warranty (even if it's not under warranty you have to do the same thing), you have to take it to a Brother Authorized Service Center. http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/BSC/public/us/us/en/faq/faq/000000/002600/000059/faq002659_000.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=mfc290c_all&Cat=11

Why wont my printer only print colours and no

You could clean the black ink cartridge. For this you need to remove the black ink cartridge which is present in the printer. In order to clean the laser or scanner block you could use a cotton swab as it would fully clean the dirt. You need to clean the grime and the dried ink present in the printer. This would remove all the hindrances which prevent the ink from flowing. Cleaning the printer heads would also help to solve the problem.

I downloaded a coupon printer and when I send them

Hi,

There are several steps to fix this issue. This is a known issue with Brother printers.
Try the step one by one

Step 1
Start -> Control Panel -> Printers and Faxes -> Right click on your selected printer and select "properties"
Go to Advanced tab -> Print Processor
Change the settings from "BRMFC" print to "WinPrint" and set default to "raw" and Click Apply
Now go back to uncheck "Keep Printed Documents" and attempt to print the coupon.
I am a big fan of coupons.com, their tech support guy sent me these instructions. Good Luck!!

Or
Step 2
Under the advanced tab for the printer properties, select 'Print directly to the printer'

Step 4.
Click START
Click Settings or Control panel
Click and open Printers and Faxes
Right-click on the printer name click on properties
Select advanced and then turn off the print spooler

Hope this should fix the issue.

For Vista You will be using the option Printer Properties ( when you right click on printer icon )

Thank you for contacting FixYa

How do i make the

Remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and connect the Printer to be detected and installed. Check printer properties to see the ink levels.
Use head cleaning before a test is taken . It is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the command , can be an issue with ink drying , can also be poor ink cartridge contacts

PRINTER WON'T PRINT RED NO

Is the yellow ink full? You can run an ink check in your printer properties to find out for sure. You can also pull your yellow ink cartridge out and put it back in to make sure that it is sitting correctly.

Have new PC running Windows

Hi vt_mail.

As i can see Brother don't have a Win7 driver for the DCP-110C, but anyway it should run without any problems on Win7.

(se this link: http://www.brother-usa.com/lp/windows7compatibility.aspx#WinUpdate)

Maybe you should to take all toners out, and put them back again, or replaced them.

Will print in color but not black only

This could be several things, some of which may mean your machine will have to be repaired by a Brother agent (probably cost you more than a new one), and/or it's time to bin it.
However, sometimes it's just because the print head, or the pipes that connect the ink tanks to the print head, have become blocked with dried out ink.
If you search on YouTube, you will find a few videos that show how to clear such blockages - you may not find your exact model number, but many Brother machines use almost identical components to many others so the basic technique will be the same. Also search on Ebay for printer cleaning/head blockage kits - quite a few printers (not just Brother) suffer similar problems and a few businesses have sprung up on EBay that sell kits to help you sort this. They sometimes have links to a video they have produced showing how to use the kit which can give you ideas. Again, your exact model number or even make might not come up but these kits might be adaptable to your machine. Got to be worth a tenner or so before binning it ! Good luck

DOCUMENTS PRINT IN FADED GREEN

do a test print and check to see if the nozzles are firing properly and the colors are correct. if you are using generic ink that could be an issue.

do a couple cleanings and then another nozzle check to see if it has improved.

if you replace the ink cartridge, remember that it will take time for the new ink to creep into the printhead system.

Hello all ... I have ink in my printer (s) and

Hi,

First of all if you didn't use the cartridges for a long time you may need to replace them.

Bu when ink level stays low after replacing cartridges, you can reset the ink level by doing the following:

- Switch on printer
- Open the cover.
- Take out the cartridge that is shown empty while it's full.
- Close the cover
- Switch off the printer and wait 2 minutes
- Switch on the printer
- Open the cover and place the cartridge back
- Close the cover
- Then print and check the ink level again.

Hope this helps.
