Brother dcp-110c error 51
Try stamping your feet on the printer for 5 times, carry the printer up with ur master hand and smash it against the wall for 8 times. Make sure there is crack on the scanner cover. Last step, dump the whole thing into the nearest rubbish bin..
Replace ink
Take cartridges out of the printer, inside cartridge case if you look inside, in the back-middle part of it, you'll see black plastic. Take some swabs and wet them in alcohol, with it try to clean inside of the plastic.
Pict. is from DCP-J140 but PCB responsible for ink level recognition looks quasi the same. (Sorry for my English)

My printer wont print any yellow.everthing else is
Hi Geoff, geez is been a while since i worked on a 110..... we were forever replacing heads on these under warranty from them getting stuffed from dodgy inks letting air in ink lines...Chances are the head is requiring replacement which is not economicial to do, please ensure you using a full genuinne yellow brother ink and try to do a initial purge on the head ( i think from memory its..menu * 2, 8, 6, 4 then 76 enter, and 4 enter/ok ((init purge/all)), this will chew ink but fills the head and ink lines. If it still fails the head is broken, it is like a micro toaster element and the ink keeps element cool, if air gets in the ink line the head overheads and the element breaks in any of the four colour chambers. This is not a repairable part nor is it cheap or easy to replace and also requires programming and a purge of about 1/4 of each colour ink. Please let me know if you can do a purge and what brand inks you are using and what inks and what happened prior to the yellow issue.CheersSteve

Resetting purge counter:
1) Enter machine maintenance mode (on MFC210C all four photo/copy/fax/scan lights flash in maintenance mode). Care is needed in maintenance mode, otherwise critical settings may be inadvertently corrupted.
FAX models with numerical keypads: Press the Menu/Set, *, 2, 8, 6 and 4 keys within two seconds. (if you fail to complete the correct key sequence within two seconds, press the Stop key to try again).
Other (non-FAX) models: Press the Menu/Set and Black Start keys. Next press the "up arrow" key four times to enter the maintenance mode).
2) Press the 8 then 0 keys in the initial stage of the maintenance mode to call up the machine's log information list (function code 80).
3) Press the Black Start key several times to scroll through the log information list to reach the purge counter. The purge counter is the 25th item in the list.
4) Press the 2, 7, 8, and 3 keys in this order to reset the purge count to zero.
5) Press the Stop/Exit key to return to the initial stage of the maintenance mode.
6) Press the 9 key twice to return to the standby state I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

Will not print black only.
take a STRONG, THICK sponge and cut it to the size of the hole that you put the color ink cartrege.Dampened the sponge in hot water (better yet...place into microwave oven for 1 min) Got to be dampened HOT but not drupey wet and place into hold of printer for 1 min. rub sround inside. If color comes out on sponge (that is good) you have loosened the clogged inkjet holes. Your ink still good? on the same HOT, DAMPED sponge placed the cartarage head down on the sponge and rub like you mean it. BE CAREFUL of the metal contacts & ribbons running up the front of cartarage.
Brother dcp195c 46 error given
The error message "Print Unable 46" indicates that the machines ink absorbers are almost full. The ink absorbers hold liquid and dried ink after it has been purged from the print head. These absorbers can control enough ink for the expected life of the machine.
There is a possibility that this message may have occurred in error. Upgrading the firmware of the Brother machine may resolve the issue. Follow the procedure below to determine if a firmware update is required:
-if the display screen is displaying an error message, press the STOP/EXIT key to change the LCD to the main screen.
-press the # and * key at the same time. The first 2 characters on the top row will determine the ROM version.
If the ROM version is OE or greater (example: OF, OG, OH, etc), the firmware does NOT need to be upgraded. If the ROM version is OA, OB, OC or OD, follow the procedure on this link to upgrade the firmware.
If the message "Print Unable 46" continues to appear on the display the Brother machine after completing the firmware upgrade and your machine is within warranty (even if it's not under warranty you have to do the same thing), you have to take it to a Brother Authorized Service Center. http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/BSC/public/us/us/en/faq/faq/000000/002600/000059/faq002659_000.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=mfc290c_all&Cat=11
My problem is the color
You might need a replacement printhead.. which would cost more than the cost of replacing the unit, however there is one procedure you may try to fix it.
You'll have to go into Maintenance Mode, a word of warning you should not do any other codes in Maint Mode than the 2 I'm describing to you:
To enter Maintenance Mode:
Press Menu, then Mono Start, then the up arrow four times.
You have to do this somewhat quickly and you'll have to try a few times before you get it.
When you do you'll know it.
Power Purge Mode - Operation 76
While in Maintenance Mode press 7 then 6,
then press 3.. it should say "Power_P"
and then press color start.
It'll then begin cleaning itself.
This cleaning method forces ink through the print heads jets into the ink absorber box, it uses a fair amount of ink so I would recommend only doing as much as you have to.
Test Pattern Printout - Operation 09
While in Maintenance Mode press 0 then 9,
it will print out a page with a grid pattern of all four colors.
If you're missing dots in any color or the colors look off, run the power purge again.
Once you're done, press 99 to exit Maintenance Mode and return to a normal state.
