Try resetting to the default printing settings. If you cannot do this uninstall all software, do a disk cleanup and a defrag or two nas, after a restart, reinstall the software. It might be that it is not the printer at fault but an old windows installation with fragmented/corrupt drivers. GOOD LUCK

The printer's indicator lights tell you when to obtain a replacement ink cartridge by flashing when ink is low, and when to replace an empty ink cartridge by remaining on when ink is depleted. The LCD panel also displays INK LOW or INK OUT. Even if only one ink cartridge is empty, the printer cannot continue to print.

I have the same printer. look for "hp toolbox" in your computers programs. Good luck.

Turn off the printer. On the computer in the lower right by the time, there should be a printer icon, double click it. This will open the print que. Select all documents in the printer que and delete or cancle them. You may have to reboot the computer for this to clear completely. Once the que is clear, turn the printer back on. Do a test print to the printer and see if the issue is cleared up. If not you may need to reload your print drivers. Hope this helps you

4) Now switch ON the PC(only PC and not the printer)5) Let the PC boot up and login to windows.6) Now switch on the printer, PC should detect the printer automatically now.

I see you replaced the Black in on your HP printer but the light keeps on blinking still.

Make sure that you remove the silicon film from the ink cartridge before installing in the printer, if that file is not removed the contact to the printers ink will not detect the ink cartridge at all.

Also try to remove all the ink cartridges and install all of them at the same time , this is to reset the printer from detecting all the printer ink cartridges.

I have an HP DeskJet 1220C that has been working fine for two years now. All of a sudden it can only print in pink and black. It is driving me crazy. I have tried the following without any success:

1. Replaced the cartridges twice
2. Aligned and cleaned the cartridge from the
computer
3. Soaked the cartridge head in hot water,
and made sure that all three colors will bleed
out of the head
4. Cleaned the cartridge contacts with an eraser
5. Cleaned the cartridge contacts on the printer
with a brush

Is there a cure, or is it time for a new printer?
