''HP Laserjet 4600, Error code 81 0180 E10 1 Error''

That indicates that the printer has a network card problem. You can try rebooting/resetting which can clear it but usually means a trip to the hp repair shop.

Something stuck in print cartridge

if the label came off on the drum then no, the drum is the blue or green roller that is protected by the plastic flap. A quick easy way to tell is that there should be 3 or 4 marks on the page, evenly spaced, this will indicate something stuck on the drum. The only repair is to replace it, because of the highly sensitive material that it is made of.

Can't print a complete print job without problems

There may just be some type of configuration issue going on if you don't have a drive installed in this printer. If there is no drive installed the printer drivers may be functioning as if there's one present which results in this error. I'm providing you with a few possible solutions as it is more difficult to pinpoint an issue when you don't have access to the device.

If it is a configuration issue you can try these steps:

1. Mopier mode should be disabled.
Right-click printer then click properties.
You should find a device settings tab...scroll down to mopier
mode and make sure it's disabled.

2. Printer Hard Disk should be disabled.
Right-click printer then click properties.
Go to the Device Settings tab...scroll down to Printer Hard Disk
and make sure it's disabled.

3. If you had to disable one or both features then the very last thing that you want to do is try printing a multiple page document to see if this worked.

If you check these two settings and find that both the mopier mode and printer hard disk are disabled then you can try this:

Click this sentence to follow the link to HP's driver and software page for the 4600 series printers. Find your operating system in the list and click on it. This will bring you to the page with drivers, firmware, and additional software provided for your printer type. Try downloading the drivers (unless you have the installation CD) and reinstalling the printer. Also, make sure that you have the latest Service Pack installed for your operating system. If you're using Windows XP then the latest Service Pack is 3.

Hope this helps. I work with HP printers and sometimes I have to try more than one solution before I find the right fix.

Please share your experience by rating this solution and thanks for using Fixya.

What does error #49.4c02 Mean? How do I clear the

49.XXXX PRINTER ERROR

To continue turn off then on

No error message will be in event log.

A critical firmware error has occurred that caused the processor on the formatter to abort operation. This type of error can be caused by invalid print commands, corrupt data, or invalid operations. In some cases, electrical noise in the cable can corrupt data during transmission to the printer. Other causes include poor quality parallel cables, poor connections, or homegrown applications. On rare
occasions, the formatter is at fault, which is usually indicated by a 79 Service Error.

1. Press CANCEL JOB to clear the print job from the printer memory.
2. Turn the printer off and then back on.
3. Try printing a job from a different software application. If the job prints, go back to
the first application and try printing a different file. If the message appears only with a certain software application or print job, contact the software vendor for assistance.
4. If the message persists with different software applications and print jobs, disconnect all cables to the printer that connect it to the network or PC.
5. Turn the printer off.
6. Remove all memory DIMMs or third-party DIMMs from the printer. (Do not remove the firmware DIMM in slot J1.)
7. Remove all EIO devices from the printer.
8. Turn the printer on.
9. If the error no longer exists, install each DIMM and EIO device one at a time, making sure to turn the printer off and back on as you install each
device.
10. Replace a DIMM or EIO device if you determine that it causes the error.
11. Remember to reconnect all cables that connect the printer to the network or computer.
12. If the error persists, replace the firmware DIMM.
13. Replace the formatter and calibrate the printer. See Calibrate now.

Ink spots on paper

If the spots are all one color, the toner cartridge of that color has a problem. Check the drum on that cartridge and make sure there are no bad spots on it. Your cartridge could be leaking toner.

Hp colour laserjet 4600dn, 51.2Y error...how to solve that?

From Woody Friesen:
Did the printer have a rough ride? HP's service manual suggests this to be a laser error on the yellow laser scanner, though these printers usually withstand shipping without any problems. Just for grins, if you can get the printer to get to READY again, run the printer through a complete calibration (from the control panel: Configure Device/Print Quality/Calibrate Now). The DC controller circuit board is also a possibility, but given the error code popped up almost as soon as you plugged the machine in suggests the yellow scanner has suffered some sort of mechanical damage from the trip. If the calibrate routine doesn't remedy the problem and you want to be sure, you could do the major disassembly required and swap the yellow scanner with the scanner for another color in the printer and if the error code changes to 51.2M (magenta), 51.2C (cyan) or 51.2K (black) (the code will reflect which scanner you exchanged with the one in the yellow position) you'll have confirmed the scanner is the problem, or if no change, then the DC controller is next in the chain.

Vertical dots on print output

1 1/2 inches apart would correspond to the diameter of the primary charge roller. You have one chrarge roller inside each toner cartridge so you need to determine which color the dots are and then replace that cartridge.

Density sensor out of range

The density sensor is located in what is called the Colour Registration Detection Assy. When you open the front door where the ETB belt is, the assembly sits were the door closes at the top on the printer side.

It can get toner on it, so check it and give it a clean. But do not touch it with your fingers.

Labels jammed in Laser Printer

Well i hope you don't need to get a technician out to remove those labels for you. If you do then you better have the coffee and biscuits ready to keep him appeased!!

The most likely place for them to have come off the page is at the first place the paper bends much more than about 45 degrees. If not there, then any other bend of similar angle. After this you will need to be looking in the fuser unit (the unit that gets hot) and the heat softens the glue on the label and they peel off.

Download a service manual form here to help you get it apart without braking anything!

http://www.tradebit.com/filedetail.php/4018886-Documents-eBooks-Technical

For future reference, please ensure that any labels you print are designed specifically for laser printers and the margin from the top of the page to the first label is as big as possible - preferably about 10mm or more.

Transfer kit

The transfer kit is unrelated to the toner. On most printers it gives you the message that it needs replaced after X number of prints. Depending on page coverage and the quality of the paper you are using there may still be some life in it and you can clear the message and print until the image quality is affected then change it.
