Says clean carrage jam nothing jamming it

This seems to be fault in the transport of the paper in the rollers. So if you have used any adhesive sticker printing, it is possible that some glue has got clogged into the rollers. If not there can be some jammed paper in the rollers or the mechanism.
So start this work only if you are mechanically able with the right tools.
Remove the covers to get access to the mechanism . Remove the motor drive assembly , the fitting of the motor to the mechanism. Once this is removed the rollers can be turned manually so that you will be able to feed a paper to see the progress of the movement while studying if there is any obstruction or damage to the paper.
There is a in-detect sensor, usually an opto-coupler , make sure this is not clogged or dirty as this IR detection feeds the signal to the processor for starting the motor drive feed.
Reassemble but make sure the rollers are aligned to be in equal gap to feed the paper without a side pull. Now you must print and see if the fault has changed. If not repeat the above work to confirm the area of obstruction.

Remove printer , uninstall software ,then reinstall and connect printer.

Placed a new ink cartridge in and now the copier

Verify that BOTH cartridges are in good condition. Both cartridges must be working for the alignment to be successful. If one (or both) are bad, alignment will not complete. It is also possible that the cartridge you just replaced is defective. This problem is almost always caused by a bad or empty cartridge.

Print job(s) waiting in queue will not advance to

If there are no errors with the printer (offline or other issues), you may have a problem with the spooler. You need to stop and restart the service. One way to do this in Windows is from the Command Prompt (Run As Administrator for Vista or Win7). Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt (right click on the option to Run as Administrator).

At the first prompt, type "net stop spooler" without the quotes and hit enter. At the next prompt, type "net start spooler" again without the quotes and hit enter. (Type Y if you get a query about the Fax system after the first command.) When the second command completes, reboot the computer and try printing again.

I hope this helps.

The lamp of the scanner is the problem.

The problem could be as simple as the scanning mechanism which sweeps across the sheet being dirty...

else you will have to send it for repairs.

Error: left cartridge incorrect being displayed on

The cartridge is electronically damaged. This can happen by a variety of means: burnt out print nozzles, ESD damage, etc. Replacing the cartridge is the only remedy. If the failed cartridge was a refill get your money back. A refilled cartridge that has that error did not sufficiently post test the cartridge before selling it.

The carriage on my HP

Hi,

To begin with, this is a common problem with this model or i could say all models in this series. There are many reasons for the same i.e it could be a software problem or even hardware ( more probable reason ).Please remove the All-in-One Printer from the Power Surge Protector and plug it directly into a wall Power outlet, as the surge protector may not provide enough power to printer.

Let us power cycle your All-in-one to remove any static electricity in your All-in-one.

Please perform the step given below to power cycle the unit after removing the print cartridges from the printer:

1. Verify that the unit is switched on. Unplug the all-in-one from power and disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug in the power only
4. Repeat steps 2-3 two more times.
5. On the third time after plugging the unit into power, reconnect the USB cable from the all-in-one to your computer.

You could download the below patch :-

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=oj-14037-3&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=90809&os=228&lang=en

- Make sure that all the drivers are updated.

If problem still persists, then more likely it is a hardware fault.I have seen many times that a small piece of paper or stuff is blocking the way of carriage. If that is not the case, it seems that the carriage assembly needs to be replace which is not an ideal or cost effective option.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
