Hp psc 2175 all in one keep saying remove and check cartridge

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

My printer prints email etc. but will not print

I assume you mean that you can print from Outlook or other e-mail program (Outlook Express, LiveMail, Thunderbird). Are you reading your e-mail on the same computer that can't print Word documents?

If yes, one thing to try is to change the font on the Word document. For some reason, certain fonts just do not work. (Most often it is an issue with a document (or template) created on a different computer (or before upgrading the OS) and the font info gets scrambled in the transfer.) Just select all (control-A or Edit, Select All) and choose a new font. If the document has multiple fonts, do not use select all but highlight the sections separately and change the font.

If it is a different computer, check that the network is active and that all the correct drivers are installed. (One thing to check is a Universal Print Driver (UPD) software needs both the 32 and 64 bit drivers if the network has a mix of OS's. This comes up when the printer is attached to one computer and it serves as the print server.)

I can fine my CD to down load the HP PSC 2175

Yes you can go to http://www.hp.com click on download software help and support type your printer in the box and type in HP PSC 2175 then it will bring you to a list of operating software choose your software xp xp pro windows 7 or Mac then elect the software you want the print and scanner software on it or the complete software including the trouble shooting software. then download it and install it. On some HP models you have to have the printer disconnected from the computer before you install it then during the installation it will tell you to plug it in do so at this time. If you have an anti virus software running you may have to turn it off till you get it downloaded and installed. Be sure before you do this if you have the software already installed on it to remove it then do a disk clean up then DE-fragment the drive before installing, this will help from keeping your computer slowing down with to many fragmented files and having the files on the computer twice.
