UP-DR100 cannot install port - error message "target device cannot be found"

I have a question does the first lap top still use the usb cable? if not: 1) the cable is crappy  2) the printers ports my have malfunctioned
If it is: (common mistakes) 1) the second computer doesn't have drivers for the usb  - the first laptop may be running on an older service pack so it can bipass the cord. 2) you turned the computer on before the printer.

Hi.

Windows XP can support SCSI, and connect to 50-pin SCSI devices. Only the PCI SCSI controller card will be expensive.

Here a 'cheap one' compatible with XP: Adaptec 2930 Ultra SCSI Controller . RRP of this card is about $150.

Regards.

Prints have a thin white line across all the

  • Thermal head — generates heat; prints on paper
  • Platen — a rubber roller that feeds paper
  • Spring — applies pressure to the thermal head, causing it to contact the thermo-sensitive paper
  • Controller boards — for controlling the mechanism
I think that you may need to replace your thermal head, A line means there is a place that the head can not head or it cannot recieve data

Sony up-dr 100 error 0007

This may well be a failure of the cutter switch sensor to reset. This worked for me.
Turn Off the Printer.
Remove both side panels and the plastic panel on the INSIDE of the DOOR on the right hand side. Then close the door and remove the plastic panel UNDER the door. This is held in place by two screws.

You will see a white gear on the bottom right hand side of the door. It is on the underside of the door. Turn this gear untill you can see the cutter move smoothly across the bottm of the door and return to the right side of the door. Listen for a click. This is the switch resetting. Close the door and power up the printer if you still get an error code 0008 or 0007 repeat the resetting process by turning the gear. BE SURE TO TURN OFF THE PRINTER!!
