One thin line appears in the prints, close to the

When the head have lines , the problem is in the drum. The drum in that printer maybe is to expensive but you will try to get in ebay.

How do you clean the print heads on the UPDR 150

RESOLUTION Clean the Thermal Head, black rollers, and gray roller with 99% pure Isopropyl Alcohol to remove any visible debris.
The Rollers should be cleaned with a lens cloth and Isopropyl alcohol as needed, or every other Print Pack
TechSpray Wipes may also be used.
  1. Remove the print media and protect it from contamination from any tabletop grime.
  2. Use "Canned" air such as Dust Off or other similar products should be used to clear out any dirt and dust within the printer.
  3. Gently rub from left to right while rotating the grey roller and larger black roller to remove any remaining dust.
  4. Use more air to clear away any remaining particles.

Try to find the door sensor and see what`s going on. I mean look for an obstruction and see what happend

I have three Sony UP-DR150

Hello! Using 90% alcohol and a lint free cloth; Clean the print head, all rollers/guides, metal blade beneath the thermal head, and the thermal head itself.

Test for the removal of vertical lines.

Mecha trouble problem cutter pos

- in my case I received the error "mecha trouble cutter pos" I removed both side panels and the panel directly in front of the cutter this gave me access to the cutter assembly where I found that the cable that runs the cutter had fallen off of the pulleys.I was able to get the cable back onto the pulleys and now the printer works perfectly

I'm getting a "Mecha Trouble

checking the gear by taking off both side panels and the panel directly in front of the cutter helped me - in my case I received the error "mecha trouble cutter pos" problem was, the cable that runs the cutter had fallen off of the pulleys and after a bit of fussing, I was able to get the cable back in place and a working printer.
