It sounds like your windows went into a temporary profile, this is nothing to do with your router. This is a windows problem. i've attached a link that gives you step by step to fix for windows 7 machine.

You need to use the SSID of the wireless router on the print server. Any wireless security applied to the router must also be applied to the print server. Otherwise you have two seperate wireless networks.

You should set Preamble to Short (default is Long) in the WiFi configuration page.

what is the ip address on your XP system?

I am currently using this print server with the HP Laserjet 1100 on the parallel port and it works flawlessly.

There should be a pinhole that allows you to do it with a paper clip...

I am sure it is now toast and you cannot downgrade if the wrong firmware has been installed. I would ask D-Link.

try changing the channel number from auto to a channel number 2 or 3 higher than the lowest channel number.' do this by logging into the d-link dsl 2640
