Have you had any luck with your Technics piano? I've got the same piano and Mine does not work either. No lights on the control panel, only red power light comes on. Does yours have any led lights besides the power light that come on? I've investigated and I have learned a lot from this piano. 4 main boards. Im pretty sure I've got it down to one board. Interested in selling me any boards from your Piano??

I've fixed Christmas decorations plenty of times, as I live with a Christmas Queen. The batteries might still be bad, so check them in something that works. The next thing could be the switch, or a fuse. Some fuses are not easy to see, but being battery operated, i would say there may not be a fuse. You can check the on off switch with an ohm meter, so if you don't own a multimeter, first I ask you why, then i tell you that your job just got much harder than it could be. Once you verify if the switch works ,and your batteries are good and making good connection, meaning the connections are good and clean, your next step is the motor. The motor can be tested by applying voltage to it. If the motor does not move if you put the correct battery voltage to it, you have your problem. You can try a drop of oil and moving the motor by hand, if that is possible. If you can't fix the motor, you can search for a replacement motor by knowing the voltage you need, and the physical attributes of the motor. Try All Electronics, and there are others who sell surplus parts, so it won't be so easy, but I've done it many times successfully. The key is knowing all you need to know in order to make it work the way it was, or modifying it to work with another motor. Good luck, and Merry Christmas

I think it is controlled via a LDR instead of a pot. If you see a pot under the pedal then it may need a new pot but I believe they have a LDR, which is an LED/light controlled resistor system. Either of these can be fixed by an experience repairman.

LDR parts are available at SmallBearElec.com. It will require some soldering experience. Be sure to test the pedal's control circuity with a digital multimeter to be sure the problem lies within this area and not somewhere else.

Try this qiuck solution as it works most of the time: Switch off your DSTV Decoder or Unplug power supply cable at rear of Decoder. Remove your Sim card and wait 90 seconds. Switch your DSTV Decoder back on or plug Power supply cable back in at the rear of your Decoder. Enter your Sim card and wait for your Decoder to re-scan (about 2 - 3 minutes).

I would check the connections for this group of keys. May be a broken wire or bad solder joint.

There is a lot of information required to value a piano like that. According to records, that piano was made around 1910. The things that we don't know and cannot verify is the condition of the unit; wood type, physical damage, care etc all are considered. You need to have an appraiser come and look at it. You may be able to take very clear direct photos and submit those to an appraiser.
