Windows contains the support for reading CD-disks and "data" DVD disks.
You need software, e.g., from 'www.PowerDVD.com', to play a movie on a DVD-disk.
You can get _free_ software from 'www.majorgeeks.com', named "Ashampoo Burning 6", to allow you to write CD-R and DVD disks.
