I am using a Lenovo laptop and It is getting hanged very frequently. Please let me know is there any possible ways to get rid of this?
When does it Hang or Freeze? What are you doing when this happens? Maybe you have a virus or infection. Run a virus scanDownload and run MalwareBytes.Go to www.google.com and in the search box type:"Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download andinstall malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When thesite opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do notclick the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the GuiInterface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version orDecline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run aQUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be inred. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad textdocument will open up showing you the results. You can close the textdocument and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTEDRESULTS. The objects will already be selected for you. When itfinishes removing the objects click ok and it will sometimes reboot yourmachine.

How to find motherboard serial no using serial no
Go to Lenovo site under support. First I would look for warranty and it will ask for the serial number. Then I would look for product specifications where it will show you the specs for your serial number and model number. The motherboard will more than likely be listed there.

Welcome to Fixya
You can actually restore the computer back to the factory state by pressing the One key button. this button is located right beside or on top of the power button. the computer should be turned off mode then push the button to trigger the restore partition of the computer. This will happen if you did not repartition the harddrive. If you repartition the harddrive then the restore partition will be deleted.

I have lenovo z560 Corei5
Hello,
for years companies used to give DVD's with the factory image in it. It is used these late years not to give DVD but have the image saved on a partition in the hard drive and giving you the option to make an image of Windows and applications in a DVD.
So now that you cannot have your old hard drive, you can find a DVD/CD of windows, it must be the same edition with your Windows label product key under the laptop (e.g. Vista Home Premium English, 7 Professional Spanish) and you can get drivers from Lenovo's website and the utilities also.
As long as you cant find a DVD of windows from a friend, you can contact Microsoft to send you one, maybe with a small fee.
