Anything on the screen? This is usually a sign of sticking keys on the keyboard. You can check to see if any are stuckl, if you cannot tell then you should start taking things out of the computer to see if it stops. Tale out the hard drive, and cd drive that is present, then you may have to remove the keyboard to see if it is bad.

Your laptop button functionality will not work until you install the drivers necessary. Check online for the drivers and make sure that all of your drivers are installed in device manager. To get to device manager, right click computer and click manage. In the sidebar, go to device manager. I'm not quite sure if windows 8 has a software slider... it should be under power options where you can adjust the screen brightness to save battery. Good luck

Sounds like it could be two things with that, first look at the battery symbol, is it flashing orange or is it green. If its flashing orange means you have a bad battery, if its solid green all ok, if its switching between green and yellow its charging. if the symbol isn't lit at all it doesn't detect your battery and try to remove and reinsert battery. Next look at the plug light, is it green?

Launchboard is the panel with buttons situated over your keyboard. If some kind of conductive dirt, fluid or water came inthere, it will short out the keys and "press" them giving you that problem. Try to clean the board with alcohol.

Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it could be faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you. Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.

get a flat head screw driver ,, its also called a blade type,, a small one..

stick it under the q key and gently pry up..

if the q continues pry till the key pops off.

the q will stop.. use a cotton towel and clean the contacts of the q key and on the board.. firmly press the q key back into its position..

your done.

ps. hopefully the key wasn't broken and the contacts dropped causing the q to be continuously active.
