Is there a recall for ryobi 18v charger or

I had similar problems with my 18V Ryobi batteries. Called Ryobi customer service, gave them the serial numbers and was told there was a 2 year warranty on them, in my case the warranty was in effect until July 2012. Took the batteries to Home Depot today and they replaced my batteries with two brand new ones. I can't complain about Ryobi customer service

My Ryobi 18V cordless drill

This could be caused by several things.
open it all the way and check the claws for damage or something stuck in them
there should be an allen head bolt inside at the base...check to see if this is loose....it is a left hand thread, if it is tight and the problem is damaged claws then take out this allen bolt, tighten a large allen key in jaws (or grab the outside with visegrips) and give it a sharp snap to the right to remove the end and replace it.

Can the drill be permenantly

Hi there. I would not suggest that you leave it on charge, as you may burn the charger, or pop the battery. These units are very sensitive and should rather be charged and battery removed, so that no current is drawn from the unit, and when needed, the battery can be fiitted and ready to use. The charge however will also not stay in the battery for longer than a month or so. Hope this helps

Correct clutch setting for driving screws

This depends on the softness / hardness of the timber you are driving the screws into.
Start with midrange clutch setting and when clutch slips, adjust the setting upwards until screws are driven fully home.

New drill batteries wont hold a charge also,

Don't even bother to try repair either of them, Take them back to the dealer under warranty and make them his responsibility, If you try repair them the warranty will fall away.

Hello my drill bit holder

If you go to this URL you will see a screw that is #1 in the exploded view.

If the chuck on your drill is open you might be able to access this screw. It appears that this screw holds the chuck onto the drill and removing it might allow you to remove and then replace the chuck. I am not 100% sure of this, but it looks like a good place to start.

Green light on new Ryobi charger flashing when trying to charge battery it that normal

Yes, the green light flashes until the battery is fully charged on Ryobi chargers. This will change to a solid green light when the battery is fully charged until the charger goes to a power-saving mode. Not all of the Ryobi chargers have a power-saving mode. However, for those that do, the green led will dim over time and then brighten and dim slowly again in this mode. My Ryobi charger, model P113, actually has a key for the LEDs on the unit on the left of the battery port. The manual for this charger is here: https://manuals.ttigroupna.com/system/files/5495/original/P113_192_trilingual.pdf?2011 . Ryobi has many of their manuals on their site. Look up your charger/tool here: https://www.ryobitools.com/power-tools/support/manuals , Home Depot's web site also has many of these manuals on the product site for the tools that they sell. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Ryobi 18V Battery green lights stay on, fully charged, won't power drill

Seems batteries have completed their normal life and require replacement. Keep in mind that when batteries are exhausted, their voltage remain normal but loose current. It seems that batteries do not sustain current i.e. have become un usable.
