Try resetting your phone. Unplug from the power outlet and unhook the phone line, then if your phone have batteries remove the batteries wait after that wait for 10 - 15 minutes. Then put verything back in in reverse order. So the batteries goes in first the phone line and then plug the power cord to the power outlet. If this doesn't work try to check the warranty and call the manufacturer to have it replaced.

Hello! To set ringer volume, you need to pass through the menu to set ringer tone first. Send a comment and let me know if you have the complete user guide...Also, is this a new install or has the unit worked in the past?

Have you tried switching to a battery from one of the other working handsets? If it works you need a new battery which you can get for around $10. If it still will not work then call GE and return it for warranty replacement. I has a 1 year warranty. Hopefully you saved your receipt.

Try setting the message time on the machine. Page 13 of the manual describes how this done. Go into "setup". The prompt will be "Message time". Follow directions. As far as the volume goes, you may be correct regarding the loose wire. Check the plugs on the machine to phone and to the wall outlet for the phone..

What I did was to unplug thr phone line first, then I disconnected the power supply from the base and lastly, I took the battery out of the handset and left everything disconnected for 24 hours and when I reconnected it up, the blinking stopped.
