TC Joint 7 Card for Tajima Embroidery Machines Tajima joint card 83 Color change motor noisy and not moving

If the color change motor on your Tajima embroidery machine is making noise but not moving, it could be due to a few different issues. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the connections: Make sure all the cables and connectors that attach to the color change motor are securely connected and not damaged.
  2. Check for obstructions: Look for any obstructions that may be preventing the motor from moving freely. This could include thread or debris that has become tangled in the mechanism.
  3. Lubricate the motor: If the motor is making noise, it could be due to lack of lubrication. Try adding a few drops of oil to the motor shaft to see if it helps.
  4. Replace the motor: If none of the above steps work, it may be time to replace the color change motor. You can order a replacement part from Tajima or a Tajima dealer.
Note: If you're not comfortable with troubleshooting and repairing your embroidery machine, it's best to contact a professional technician for assistance.

Singer Athena 2000 Sewing Machine. The needle won't go up and down on my machine unless I press the circuit breaker button.

Question edited for clarity. Question moved from home electrics to Singer Sewing. It may be a lazy breaker, but it could also be a fault that is giving high resistance to the breaker. If it carries on sewing okay and there is no smoke or the motor getting hot, swap out the breaker.

SINGER® FUTURA QUARTET™ sewing and embroidery machine update doesn't work, failed to initialize security.

This appears to be a Singer Sewing machine, so let's move it from the Computers and Internet category. Then let's edit the question to fully reflect 'make model (what is is)'. When software updates fail, the first thing to do is reboot everything fresh. So power down the Singer and then reboot the computer getting the update. Then turn the singer back on. Then get the update again. There are lots of Futura Quartet models, but there is general help here. https://www.google.com/search?q=SINGER%C2%AE+FUTURA+QUARTET%E2%84%A2+update+failed+to+initialize+security ..

How do I reattach needle threader parts on Singer Futura XL 400?

I've done this, and it's a pain, but can be done. Let me also tell you that quite a few users have broken theirs and just used the machine without it, but others said that they had to replace theirs. First of all, the wire guide is held UNDERNEATH the needle clamp, and what you have to do is insert them back in one piece. That is, remove the clamp, insert the end of the guide, then push them together on the shaft as one unit. The end of the thread guide sticks up over the top of the clamp in the back. There is a very tiny screw there that's supposed to hold it, but most machines are produced without the end going underneath that screw--they just let the needle clamp hold it. That screw is VERY tiny and VERY difficult to access, and will come out completely after only a few turns. Worse yet, it serves as a "stop" for the end of your needle, so if you lose it, you'll have to use something like a toothpick to "stop" the end of the needle until you can replace it. ASK ME HOW I KNOW! It is easier to deal with if you put the machine on its side when you do this.

Be sure to install a brand new sharp needle before sewing. Check that the needle, thread, and fabric are compatible. An embroidery needle or top stitch needle may help. When threading the top thread, ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot before threading to insure the thread seats in the tension disk.

Clem Driver for Futura XL 400

I suspect that the problem you're having is your machine came with two CDs -- one for the basic software, and one for the add on software. If that's the case, before you can install the add-on software, you have to initialize the driver in Windows. Otherwise, you'll be a message that the driver isn't installed. After installing the basic software (one CD), plug the USB cable into your machine and then connect the cable to your computer, then turn your machine on. You should them almost immediately get a message that a new device was found, and Windows is installing the driver for it. You can then proceed to install the second CD.

The embroidery unit does not work the unit will not cycle . please help me

Well, according to the service manual, E10 means "Problem in Cam1 signal." I have a feeling that it is one of two possibilities, especially since you have no problem sewing. The unit lets the machine know it's attached by the plugs on the back of the machine and unit. The male part is on the machine; take a look at it and see if any of the pins are bent. Also, make sure that when you connect it, the embroidery unit is squarely on the machine, and the plugs have a good connection with each other. Also make sure that the machine and unit are actually resting flat on the surface. I had this problem and discovered that the table I had it on had begun to sag and cause an incomplete connection. Now, there is another possibility. Put your hand on the carriage that holds the hoop and see if there's "play" in it. If so, it means that the mechanism that drives the hoop in the unit is loose. Turn the unit over, and test the tightness of the screws that are in deep indentations. There are a number of screws that are in shallow indentations; they are keeping the cover on, and you're not interested n them -- only the ones that are deep. They are so deep, you'll probably have to use a flashlight to see them. If there are any loose screws, tighten them, but tighten them all the way, then back off by 1/2 turn.

E10 this is the code my machine is giving

There is very little posted about error E10, except this. It indicates the machine is broken. My Singer XL400 gives me error 10 saying the hoop size is wrong no matter... FWIW, there are a lot of complaints about this particular model. Hopefully, it is still under warranty... ...

I can't get my bobbin thread to pull up.

Be sure to use a brand new needle and that it is the correct needle for your machine, that it is installed correctly (flat side facing the correct direction) and is pushed all the way up. Check that the bobbin is loaded and threaded correctly in the bobbin case and there is at least 6" of thread tail. If it still will not pick up the bobbin thread, then there is most likely a timing issue with your machine, ie the needle is arriving at the wrong time to intercept the bobbin thread. Take it for service.

My xl400 singer embroidery carriage has stopped working. Will not move at all when machine is turned on. Also keep getting msg error about hoop size but no hoop attached.

The switch for "sew" or "embroidery" must first be in the "embroidery" position. Make sure the connections are very firmly pushed in. If it still isn't functional it may require some small motors to be replaced. The motors are what makes the hoop move.

Ready to stitch embroidery letters but nothing happens. The start/stop button and the number 10 design on the machine blinks. What is wrong?

Make sure the machine is on a solid, level surface. Also, it may not work if you don't have the correct foot on the machine.
