When the GPS device starts up ( when you power it on ), it will take several seconds, up to a couple of minutes to locate the satellites, before it will show where you are (on the road / map). So, you simply have to enter the destination address, to get directions from where you are, to the destination.
It is easier for the GPS device to locate the satellites if the GPS / you are not under (some) cover, e.g. indoor garage, under ground parking, under trees, etc. Some times you'll just have to wait a little longer. [But you can enter the destination addresses even before it locates your position ]

Yes you can. Delete the "SAVE" folder from SD card. Than put back the SD turn on the GPS and you can set everything from the begining.

If you had igo 8.3 or 8.5 or amigo than its possible if not and you had plus or the factory default nav-system than:

4 myguide there is NO MORE updates !!! Operating system "PLUS" is not supported by the new MAPS. MyGuide had no UPDATES ANYMORE !!!!

The solution: Go to a service and install on it an Igo 8.3 or 8.5 or amigo (it depends on the operating system).

plug it into your computer by usb. you should have got a software cd in the box, run this on your computer. a box should run allowing you to reformat the software on the myguide which should do the trick. otherwise the battery is knackered
