When the heater is off, the pilot has excessive

It sounds like there is a hole in the tube, near the flame. You should have it checked. It shouldn't even be as noisy as a gas stove.

I have the williams wall mount & it shuts down after awhile..

Probably needs to have the burners blown out. The yellow is a sure sign of rust and stuff inside the burners disrupting the formula of air to gas ratio. Just needs a good blowing out.more If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/dan_73bbd84fe1d95b61

Heatilator Pilot Issue

Any pilot adjustment would be under a large screw with a flat blade slot in it. There would be a smalled flat blade screw under it. Warning: Too small of a flame and your safety device won't work.

I have Williams wall gas

is the pilot flame impinging on the thermocouple almost to the point of wrapping around it ? do you have a vent cap onto of your vent? do you live in an area where you have high winds? try to adjust the TC so it gets more flame impingement, replace or install your venting cap, as far as the wind issue, finding a really good cap for your venting is essential, they do make caps that are made for high wind areas, hope that helped

Williams Model 435FXR Serial GO222436 Forced air pilot keeps going out

BY THERMISTOR, ARE YOU MEANING THERMOCOUPLE, I.E. WHAT YOUR PILOT LIGHT IS HEATING? IF SO, COULD BE WEAK AND NOT GENERATING ENOUGH VOLTAGE TO STAY OPEN, SHOULD BE BETWEEN 10-25 MILLIVOLTS DC, WHICH CAN BE TESTED AT THE INTERRUPTER LEADS. YOU CAN ALSO BYPASS THE LIMIT DISC TEMPORARILY TO SEE IF THE UNIT STAYS LIT, REPLACE IT IF THE UNIT RUNS.

Pilot light on but heater won't come on when I turn up the thermostat

Williams heaters have a manual reset for the spill safety switch. If the heater is not venting properly it will trip this switch and shut off main burner function. The switch is on the left side of the cover inside the small vent. You can use a screwdriver to push the button back in. If the heater then works you will need to get the vent inspected to make sure it is connected properly and there is no blockage.

Wall heater pilot light

As it turns out there is an emergency shut-off valve connected to the vent that was triggered by high winds. The reset button is hidden on the upper left hand corner of the unit (as you are facing it) behind a small grill on the side of the outer casing. Logic tells me that it's there so in the event of a clogged vent you don't fill your house up with carbon monoxide. One push on the reset button allowed the pilot to stay on and therefore the heater to fire up.

Pilot adjustment on Williams wall heater

The insert sounds like the cap covering the adjustment screw. Pin hole is for cap removal. Wondering why flame is so high?! Shouldn't have orange flame. If heater doesn't light with lower flame... thermocouple (thing that the flame heats up) may be bad.
