Dell inspiron 1545 laptop and the same problem. I have updated driver installed for webcam manager. Still getting the same message "No supported webcam driver detected. Please install the webcam driver using the dell resource CD". I have tried all the possible ways through net, CD but result is he samee. Any help will be highly appreciated.
open your my computer, click on "c" the system will tell you the information is hidden, click on the link and open up the operating system and look in the drivers or there in C and se if you can find you web cam driver, when you find it you might have to force the opening of the driver to install, and once you do that plug your web cam in and see if the system see's it and installs the drivers for the cam, if you installed the driver origanally witht he web cam installed you will have to remove the web cam and unistall the driver and re install it and then plug the web cam back in, and that should help correct the problem.

Hello,
Up till now my audio has worked fine but I can no longer record videos on Dell Webcam central, because it does not record sound. I have tried making the mic volume louder, it doesn't help. Also, on voice record, I cannot hear the playback because it does not record properly on that either and I cannot hear a thing. I have tried putting the volume up, restarting the computer, (my dell laptop has an inbuilt mic.) using a different mic, nothing is working.
Thanks,
Maya
I have a Dell 1545 with Dell web cam central & I've had this issue. The problem is that Dell web cam central installs it's own microphone settings onto your laptop called something like Dell web cam Live!. This isn't the built in microphone in my laptop & maybe not yours either. You have to change the settings for your computer system & Dell web cam central. Go to start> control panel> sound> recording .. on mine there is an option for Microphone "High Definition Audio Device" ... that is the built in mic. You want that for your default & apply it. Also .. as a side note .. I disabled the web cam central Live! microphone completely from this window. Then open Dell web cam central & go to the "Record Video's" option. In the middle of this is an orange button with a video camera icon. Next to this on the same button is a little arrow pointing down .. click that. Under microphone .. choose Microphone "High Definition Audio Device" just like the sound option in control panel. I've done this & it's completely fixed. I can record videos with sound & use my built in mic in voice/video chat.

Multimedia keyboard on function keys. Functions work with a key "Function"
How to change "Multimedia keys first" on "Function keys first" ???
You can change the settings by going to BIOS. To go to BIOS, restart the system and as soon as you restart, start tapping the <F2> key located on the keyboard. This will take you to BIOS.
You can use the Function Key Behavior setting in the System Setup
(BIOS) utility to configure the media control keys. The options in the
Function Key Behaviour setting are:
Multimedia Key First - This is the default option. Press any
multimedia key directly. For function key, press <Fn> + the
required function key.
Function Key First - Press any function key directly. For multimedia key, press <Fn> + the required multimedia key.

power cord plugged in battery is in press power button white light appears the cd side clicks, then stops white light goes off. screen stays blank the whole time
Unseat and reseat the memory in the laptop one stick at a time in each slot one at a time. Turn on the laptop after each reseat of memory.
If that doesn't work then take out the hard drive and then the dvd drive.
Turn the laptop on again and if you still can't get video on the screen then the motherboard is defective and would need to be replaced.

Last night I left my Dell Inspiron 1545 screen on my bed and went to sleep. When I woke up the next morning, the screen seems to have broken. There are a couple of black patches on the screen and a long diagonal line running from the top right corner to the bottom left corner.
Here's a picture:

What is the exact problem and any idea how much it will cost to get it fixed?
The LCD is definitely shattered, looks like pressure was applied from the back of the screen (Pressed on, laid on etc) and the LCD will need to be replaced.
Several are available on Ebay

error code 0f00:1332
If you can only log into windows in safe mode and it takes forever to boot, you may need a new hard driver. Try running windows defrag first, but I think in the end you will need to replace the drive.
Most of the time, you will need a small philips screw driver and just open the hard drive bay and the drive slips you. You slip the new drive in and start the computer. You need to make sure that you have the windows restore CD and driver CD for your laptop. If you don't have them, contact your manufacture for help with it.

Hello
Press the Windows icon key on your keyboard, and hold it down until the "Start" menu pops up. If your keyboard doesn't have a Windows icon, press "Ctrl" and "Esc" at the same time.
Press "C," then arrow down to "Control Panel" and press "Enter."
Navigate to "Mouse" with your arrow keys, and press "Enter" to open up the mouse control dialog box. Then, press "Alt" and "F" together to access the tabs at the top of this box.
Navigate using the arrow keys to "Device settings" or "Touchpad" or the similar option on your system, and press "Enter."
Press the "Tab" key until the "Enable" option or a check box next to it highlights, and then press "Enter." Press "Tab" again until you are highlighting "OK," and press "Enter." Your touchpad will be re-enabled.
