Hi, I have a Polaris IQ 600 Widetrax snowmobile. It will not go in reverse without stalling. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Roger

Are you sure reverse isn't locking up the engine?

More than likely to is the bearings on the front drive that are out, that would be why the track came loose in the first place.

I have a 97 polaris xlt 600 triple that now hard to start and seems to flood very easily and sometimes backfires. I have spark on all 3 plugs.

Check the diaphragms in the fuel pump most likely flooding through the engine pulse tube from the crankcase.

Snowmobile troubleshooting

Sounds like fuel supply, most likely bad diaphragm in fuel pump. Start by making sure gas free flows from tank to filter, I would replace filter as it gets overlooked then it should go to fuel pump then carbs. Good luck!
