You can use VGA cable between the TV and your laptop. Attach the TV to the VGA port BEFORE turning on the PC, turn on the PC and hopefully it will detect the external monitor first, if not, then you have to use the HOTKEYS function (Fn key and One of the key with monitor symbol). The HOTEKEYS function will allow you to select both internal and external at the ame time , or just the internal only, or external only. You will also have to set the refresh rate for he external to be at 60Hz and the resolution not to exceed the maximum the TV can handle, should look to see what the native resolution of the TV is in PC mode.

well most tvs come with a game in put that you can change on your tv menu but if you cant you will need a universal remote

Yes the GE universal remote #24914 works to change your Ilo tv from analog to digital and switch to vid1 or vid2 ect.... The code is in the book that comes with the remote. I use this remote myself. This remote can be bought at Target for under $10.It works all the features.

I did solve the problem, I ended up trying the codes for a tv by the same manufacturer; in my case I have an ILO tv, so I used the codes for the Funai tv... I little to easy, should have thought of it sooner!!

The common iLO codes that I have in my list to try are 10171, 10172 ,10179 ,11990, 10180, 10183, 11271, 11963, 20000, 20593, 21593, 21348, 21472, 21348.

If these fail try the Magnavox codes in the list at that last link as these sometimes work for iLO.

probably the signal is weak, test your in the good tested antenna, If your the signal is still the same, the Tuner side of the TV should check.

If you tv is blowing fuses it might mean you have a short in it. The fuses are a safety feature. Best thing to do is bring it to a repair shop. I do not suggest for anyone to open a tv without the repair knowledge.

His antenna needs to be a digital antenna. If it is not it will not give him any signal.
