1992 kawasaki VN 750 Vulcan Logo
Anonymous Posted on Mar 30, 2011

My turn signals stopped working, i replaced the flasher relay with a generic relay from an auto parts store(three prong) and checked the fuses at the junction box. Still no turn signals. The front turn signal lights, light up but do not blink (they have double filaments) i have 12V coming out of my left rear turn signal port, but no voltage at all out of the right rear. I believe i need a wiring diagram for a 1992 kawasaki vulcan 750cc. I need to know where the power is coming from, and through what wires. Can someone please help me?

You can first of all check the universal type with a +B on the one side and the body grounded to give the output at the center. If this is tested on the left and right sides then the flasher unit can be used. Otherwise there are many models of this type that will work with +12.Try the electronic types.

I do have power running from the relay up to the turn signal switch. I know this because there are 3 wires that join at the switch. I assume one being battery power(which i have measured and has a voltage of 11DC) the others being the right and left turn signals (which do not register on the voltage meter.

Hazard lights won't stop flashing

Don't know what you are driving but...Most likely your flasher relay is stuck..The emergency lights "flashers" flash using a plug in flasher That works by electrical contact and breaking contact under specified heat..then Continue to cycle until the flasher switch is turned off..the unit is usually located near the fuse box area it is a small round, about 1 inch diameter plug in unit..normally three prong and a silver in color..any auto parts supply will have them pretty cheap..easy to replace once you find it..good luck

Turn Signal stopped working. All light bulbs work.

Have you check the flasher relay. If the light is just steady and lights up, Its usually the flasher relay. Check the owners manual for the location. You can get this part at any auto parts store. Just unplug the old one, and plug in the new one. Its usually located around the fuse panel. Not sure where on a Pontiac. Hope this helps

Hazerds work but not blinkers

Typically there is a seperate relay for both the turn signal and hazard lights; I expect the hazard relay has failed. These may easily purchased ( $5.00 or so ) and replaced. The attendent at the auto parts store should be able to give you placement of the relay location.
I hope this may have helped,

1996 Jeep Cherokee Turn Signals Not Working

Replace you turn signal flasher relay, it should be right by your fuse box or near the brake pedal.(it looks like a solenoid, a cylindrical shape, with 3 prongs on the end) it is attached to a wiring harness that you just have to unplug it from. i couldnt find mine at any auto parts store, had to go to jeep, costs 44 bucks. that should do it
