Harley motors(buell) are not the quietest bunch out there. It might be a normal noise, but I would stop at a HD dealer and have them give it a listen.

2003 Nissan maxima flashing oil light when trying to turn wheel , loss of power slight rattling noise , rpm wont stay past idol without front on pedal really

Is the oil level and oil pressure ok, it sounds like you have no oil pressure, if it rattles it is to late you have damaged the engine bearings.

What causes a rattling noise in my engine when i hit the accelerator?

"Rattling" is normally due to one of two things:
  1. On heavy acceleration, rattling is usually due to low octane fuel.
  2. If at all times, it can be due to low oil pressure.

Rattling can also occur if the engine timing is way out specs. This will normally be accompanied by a substantial loss of power on acceleration.

Loss of power, upper right side rattle, idles and runs rough.

is the 2.0 or 2.5? check timing idler pully (upper) fails frequently on 2.5, also check for arcing in the sparkplug tube. #3 on 2.0 (most common) # 5 [first] # 2 [second (toward firewall)] on 2.5 {most common} my 2.5 had spark plug tube arcing on #5, could barely pull a hill in 5th. idled like badly and had slight knocking/rattling sounds. replaced that wire, had a spare from old set, now pulls hills in 5th at 80mph

Pulley on crankshaft is rattling bad is there a bearing

Billy you have the main bearings on the crankshaft, but you said a rattling noise, these pulleys are bolted to the harmonic balancer check the bolts that attach the pulley to the balancer to see if they are tight. Sometimes they can work their way loose. If it were a main bearing the engine would have a slight shake to it or in other words while the vehicle is idling the motor would shake along with a loss of oil pressure on your gauge in the vehicle. By the rattling it can be two things that come to mind either the harmonic balancer is coming apart or the pulley is coming loose from the balance. Hope this helps let me know what you find.

Flashing oil light/ loss of power

Check your converter on your exhaust when it's running and see if the noise of rattling is coming from there. If it is you have a plugged converter,it's broken up and in piece's which will make noise and no power especially when calling for power.Be sure to let exhaust cool before repair is done.If the engine is making the noise like a knocking sound you should bring it to have it checked.Hope this help's.
