Just purchased a 2004 Shadow Aero. No owners manual. What type oil do I use for oil change. How many qts does it take?

Use only a JASO MA certified motorcycle oil. 10w-40 for cold climate . 20w-50 for warm climate and touring. Do not use any oil that says Energy Conserving on the label , it will shorten the life of your wet clutch and transmission gears. Synthetic oil will help your bike run cooler and shift easier. you will need 4 quarts , an oil filter , and a drain plug washer. You will probably need 3.4 quarts. Drain the oil, pour in 3 quarts of oil, run the motor to fill the oil filter, check the dipstick or window with the bike on the center stand , and top up as needed.

How much oil does a 2004 honda shadow aero 750 hold? I bought my bike used and didn't get a owners manual.

it takes between 3-4 quarts but that model has a dip stick on the oil cap so use it to check as you fill, also make sure to only use motorcycle oil,car oils break down to fast and were not designed for motorcycle use, honda makes a very good oil, i would use a 10w-40 for cold weather and 20w-50 for hot weather, also i would suggest a synthetic oil, it will shift easier and make those movable parts last allot longer. ( preventative maintenance )

What is the oil capacity on Honda shadow areo 1998, and can I use regular motor oil

You will need 4 quarts of oil. The correct amount is between 3.5 and 4 quarts. Use only JASO MA certified motorcycle oil. 10w-40 for cold climate 20w-50 for warm climate/touring. Do not use oil that is Energy Conserving it will shorten the life if your wet clutch and transmission gears(wrong additives). Synthetic oils will help your cycle run cooler and shift easier. Be sure to change your filter and purchase a spare drain bolt washer. A K&L filter wrench ($10) is also a useful tool if you plan to do your own oil changes.

What is the oil specifications for an 06' Aero 750?

Your best bet is the owner's manual. You can also ask them at AutoZone or Advance auto Parts if you don't want the manual. They will tell you or show you on their chart. This is so easy to do, but you need be careful so you put in the correct oil. Different kinds of oils are used: brake-oil, engine/trans, fork-oil, etc.

Repsol MOTO Gasoline Motor OIl,4T,Sintetico synthetic blend 10W40

Repsol Moto 4T Sintetico Synthetic Oil - 10W40

Synthetic blend lubricant with high thermal stability, designed to meet the needs of the most technologically advanced 4-stroke motorcycle engines.
  • Excellent starting and lubrication in cold conditions due to its low viscosity.
  • Meets JASO MA API SJ requirements.
Its fine to change your oil with synthetic, Just be sure that you use synthetic from now on... I don't think its advisable to switch back to regular oil after using synthetic.
