1994 Buick La Sabre Removal of drivers side door panel to replace window motor

The fuse panel is in the motor compartment under the hood on the left hand side at the back.

Remove mirror mount cover assembly.
Remove inside door handle cup (22634).
Remove door lock control bezel.
Remove window control bezel.
Remove interior lamp lens.
Remove screw from interior lamp assembly body.
Remove screw from window control bezel opening.
Disconnect mirror, lock switches and memory seat on driver side from bezels and wire harness.
Disconnect window switches from window bezel and wire harness.
Lift front door trim panel (23942) vertically, out of weatherstrip and over lock rod.
Disconnect interior lamp (13776) from wire harness.
Remove front and rear door trim retention hooks into door inner panel.
To install, reverse Removal procedure, paying special attention when inserting inner door trim into weatherstrip. Rock inner door trim into weatherstrip and push downward until lower trim belt character ditch lines up with score mark on inner door panel.

Its just fitted with few screws and hidden lock clips.The clips are very delicate and can break easily.But no worry,the clips are easily available.
on some vehicle models these screws are hidden.Once the panel is loose, don't just pull it out,there are few wire connectors connected,first disconnect the connector plug,then lift the panel out and keep in safe place for re-installing.

DOOR PANEL REMOVAL

Hello manderfield, The bulbs are replaceable but it requires complete disassembly of your cluster and above average soldering and de-soldering skills. The cluster removal process requires removing the trim molding that surrounds the cluster. There are several screws along the bottom and sides of the trim that you will need to remove before un-snapping the main section. You can lower the tilt steering wheel and place you transmission in low gear to help provide room for the trim and cluster removal. Thanks Mike www.kincerservice.com

The Buick Le Sabre has a light-duty cable which raises and lowers the window. These cables break quite often. When they break the entire regulator w/motor must be replaced. The cable, the regulator, and the motor are only sold as a single unit.

A couple of things to add to tinyp's solution. For Buicks, the regulator is bolted in, not riveted, which makes removal easier. Also, you'd better get used to this, as I have replaced 3 out of 4 window regulators on my 2002 LeSabre.

My 2000 does this and it's the wiring harness where it goes between the door and the cowl. There's a loose connection in there somewhere. If I move the wires around with the door open (where they go through the body) it works again.

this sound to me like a broken wire in the door jam on the drivers door. this door has all the wires for all the windows running threw the rubber gromet. you will need a test light to check power at the wires you will also need to remove the drivers door panel to get at the switch and wiring to test. its just basic power and ground tests when you push the window button. i rate this repair a 7. the spark plug is real easy. disconnect the dog bone (the top motor mount that keep the engine from rocking for and aft. now put a jack and a block owood under the back side of the trans. this will tilt the engine foward and you can reach these plugs i rate this repair a 2
