Jaguar xj8 4.0 SE

sounds like a abs sensor has gone down or a common problem is the link leads on the front going open circuit it would be helpfull if you get someone to get the fault codes from the abs module, you can check the link leads and the sensors using a ohmmeter i think the sensor resistance should be about 1100 ohms.

I have trouble codes P1603 and C1145. What do they mean?

P1603: Transmission Control Module (TCM) EEPROM Failure
C1145: Front right wheel speed sensor input circuit failure

The P1603 means that your TCM has probably failed. It may have a loose solder connection or the PROM chip may have come out of it's slot. EIther way the TM needs tobe removed from the car and repaired/replaced by a qualified repair person.

The C1145 is for the ABS and it may be related to the TCM failure. I am not that familiar with the Jaguar ABS system, but that code means the signal from the front right wheel is bad. May be the sensor or the "tone ring"...

What is a diagnostic trouble codes C1041 & C1045?

Both of these codes refer to ABS problems....(Antilock Braking System)........and they are more specifically related to C1041 Right-Front Inlet Solenoid Valve Circuit Failure and C1045 Left-Front Inlet Solenoid Valve Circuit Failure....

This all seems confusing at first but is there anything different or of point to not ewith the braking of the vehicle...is the ABS light on the dash....has it had any brake repair service performed recently.......just to see where the fault might lie.......as this code could mean that the ABS control unit/module has failed or that something, hopefully less disastrous has occurred.......

Have error codes C1175 & P1000 for a 2002 Jaguar X-type 2.5.

C1175 ABS/TCCM Anti-lock braking / traction control LH rear wheel speed sensor circuit fault ABS/TCCM to wheel speed sensor signal circuit (FH33-21): open circuit, short circuit to ground, short circuit to B+ voltage, high resistance LH rear wheel speed sensor failure
P1000 is for check not complete after last memory clear , dont worry about it , just stick with C1175 , and most probably it is the sensor wire
