Hello,

I don't think that 91 had a relay, but they do have a start switch located on the colum close to the firewall, right around the brake pedal area. They are a real pain to get to as well.

It take a 5/16 wrench to loosen and remove, there are two (2) groups of wires pluged into it , one red and the other purple, anyway there is a rod that connects that switch to the key and it just slides into it from the bottom.

I hope that you have small hands, cause that switch is a real pain to get to.

Good luck, and by the way, when you re-install make sure that the key is in the off position and that the switch is in the off position there is some adjustment on the switch to "fine tune" the starter.

My 92 lincoln town car will not start i have replaced the starter, the neutral safety switch and the battery but when i turn key nothing happens but can jump starter and will crank

Yes there is a starter relay in the wiring diagram.
The yellow and lite blue wire goes from the starter solenoid to the relay. There is a yellow wire from the relay to a 30amp fuse. The key switch powers thru the neutral safety switch and then powers the relay on.

1995 Taurus. Starter will not disengage. Engine cranks, but will not turn over.

Find the starter relay under the hood. It may be bad and stuck so power continues going to the starter. Try a new relay Or try pulling off the small signal wire on the relay (it is from the switch), and hook battery up. If starter continues to run, the relay is bad. If starter is stopped, put the signal wire back on relay. If starter now starts operating, and key is still off, then switch may be bad .Location of relay may be at left front fender apron, in front of shock tower (like on earlier taurus models).

Starter continues to run after engine starts. Only way to stop it is to disconnect battery cable. I've already replaced the starter/solenoid. Is there a relay somewhere that may be getting...

It has a ign. switch usally on the steering colum I would say it is going bad. Does it do it every time? Does it try and kick back in when you hook the battery back up when it is running? It's possible it is sticking in the flywheel but if it quits by un-hooking the battery I would bet on the Ign.switch not the key switch.

I have a93 f 150 when i hook the pos cable to the battery the starter spins but the battery pos sparks ty

tHE STARTER RELAY is shorted and is stuck in the crank mode. The battery cable sparks because of starter load Relay must be replaced ot at least checked for the two small wires being crossed. One of the small wires on the relay should have current only when key is in crank position.
Remove the two small wires and see if it still cranks when battery is hooked up. If so, replace relay. The + cable goes from battery to relay. Ned

Stuck starter relay, find the starter relay and remove it then connect battery if still turns over suspect stuck solenoid on starter and replace starter.
