Hopefully just a water hose or connection leak...some parts of these hoses are now metal, and rust away...these factory metal hoses are dealer, and salvage yard only...Many times you can replace the entire metal line with a rubber line...as long as you can connect to both sides...there is a water hose that runs under the coolant overflow, to the firewall...(many times the culprit)...the water pump on your motor is under a pulley located on the front of your engine...Hope this helps.

95-2001 plymouth voyager water pump

For all dodge minivans 94 to 2001 (and others) with 3.0 ltr V-6. You're driving on the freeway your temp gauge starting to go up. You get off the freeway. when the engine is cooled down you discover that the coolant in gone. You refill the radiator and look for a leak but can't find one. You check the oil but its not foamy, so no coolant there. If all seems to be operating normally, check under the vehicle when the engine is warmed up. There may be a slight coolant leak on the passenger side near the front tire .When the water pump on these engines typically coolant will leak out of the pump thru a "weep hole" located at the bottom of the pump. Most of the loss occurs while driving so your only indication may be that small drip of coolant. The water pump is powered by the camshaft timing belt and is located under the timing belt cover and can not be seen, however any coolant leak, no matter how small, in the area just to the rear of the crankshaft pulley is almost surely a failed water pump and must be addressed immediately

Leak under car on driver side maybe waterpump

If the fluid is a bright green or yellow colour, it is coolant fluid. Check the water pump, there should be a seal leak drain hole under it, look for signs of a leak. If there is a green/yellow track leading from below the water pump. you need to have the water pump replaced. A leak from the engine would be dark brown to black an a transmission leak would be red tp very dark red. Coolant would tend to dry up while oils spills do not. The water pump is located on the side of the engine where the belts are. I do not know if your car is left or right hand drive.

The coolant is getting hot causing the engine to overheat.

This could have several causes. Is the coolant tank full? Is the coolant relatively fresh and a 50/50 mix of water and antifreeze?
Does the heat gauge jump up to hot and then fall back rapidly at some point or just rise and keep climbing? If so, it is the thermostat. Is there a leak evident under the car? If so, it could be a bad water pump. The water pump has a small weep hole and if there is water at that point the pump needs to be replaced. If none of this is the cause, then it could be a plugged radiator or a faulty cap located on the radiator or the coolant overflow tank.

How do you know if your mazda3 2004 water pump leak

Park your car overnight and put a large white piece of paper underneith your car. In the morning check the paper. If the paper is wet with liquid, you could have a water pump leak.

If the paper has green (in most cases) fluid on it, there is a good chance your vehicle is leaking coolant (sometimes refered to as "water"). In many cases, when you are leaking coolant it could be coming from the water pump.

Grab opposite ends of the water pump pulley and check for "play" (looseness): Try to rock it back and forth. There should be no give. If there is, the bearings are going and it's time to replace the water pump. By the time you can feel play in the water pump pulley, you may also be able to hear the bad bearing when the engine is running - there may be a low-pitched grinding noise coming from the water pump pulley

Visually check the water pump (it's located behind the pulley) for signs of a coolant leak. If the water pump gasket is leaking, it must be replaced. This is a good time to get a new water pump, too, unless it was just recently replaced.

The water pump is located along the left side of the engine underneath the plastic covers. You coolant leak is most likely a radiator hose.
