Needs 12v to run pumps. Bad grd at pumps?. or possible bad relay try by pass relay. also some were controlled by eng oil press switch off - on try by pass and check for proper voltage. You can also by pass all devices and power pumps by 12v.

1991 F150 Will not crank.

Do real fuel pressure test using test gauge. You changed ignition module but not coil? Are you getting nice fat blue spark? When spraying starter fluid into intake it only tries to start which makes me think you have ignition problem.

I have a civic 04 ex automatic the key don't come don't have spark and the injector not pulsing does the inmovilizer have something to do with this problem ?

just went through similar issue with a 99 accord spark would be out because of the crank sensor but wouldn't kill injector pulse there is what is called a main relay honda used it controls both the injectors and fuel pump my car wasn't getting fuel pump power if you pull relay down should be next to brake pedal under dash and 7 wires and pull internals out and check circuit board for burnt solder or cracked solder when i wouldn't hear fuel pump i would take and apply light pressure to circuit board then fuel pump would kick in the injector side should be 6 volts and fuel pump should be 12 volts i would change crank sensor and get spark to return and then trouble shoot injectors also my car had after market remote start and keyless entry and was causing the key not to be recognized i removed alarm and got the coded key to read then had to trouble shoot the other problems after rectifying others first

Is there a fuel reset button on my 1996 monti carlo?

Fuel cutoff switches is a Ford thing.Verify 12 volts to the connector at the sending unit in the tank(PCM will run pump for 2 seconds when key turned to "run").If you get 12 volts, and the pump dosen't run when the connector is hooked back up,the pump is bad.

Car will not start. replaced the battery and will not turn over

Engine wont start. If car battery voltage is low then engine wont start. The fully charged battery will show 12 volt. But if battery is showing 12 volt. Then check the battery to starter connection. If that is also checked ok then check voltage for starter itself. The starter is also a 12 volt part. But if the starter is faulty then it has to be replaced. If you start the car but if its not starting then its starter fault. But if the car makes cranking noise but its not getting turn over then there are many other possibilities.A car that cranks over but doesn't start, in many cases will be due to a bad fuel pump, a broken timing belt, an inoperative cam sensor or crank sensor. Also these problems are related to faulty spark plug. Check the spark at spark plugs when you start the car. Do you notice any spark. Actually you should see. If in case there is no spark then it's a spark plug problem. Also the coil pack gives power to spark plug. So check the voltage at coil pack. It will show 12 volt. If there is no voltage noticed at coil pack then its faulty coil pack that has to be replaced. If all the possible options checked out ok then check the car starter. The starter gets power from battery to start the car. If the starter is faulty then it will not let the car to start. Also check and confirm that there is fuel in the car. If its very low fuel then in some cases this causes the problem. Also check and confirm that fuel pump is functioning properly and the fuel filter is not clogged. One of the easiest ways to check for a fuel pump related problem is to spray a little starting fluid into the air intake while trying to start the car. If the car starts momentarily, then there's a good chance the fuel pump is not working or the car is out of gas. You can also listen for the fuel pump's humming sound when the key is first turned on. Also if a inoperative fuel pump is suspected, a good technician will always check to verify there is power and ground being supplied to the pump, to eliminate the possibility of a bad relay or electrical issue. Fuel pressure can be checked with a pressure gauge and if there is pressure, pulse can be checked at the fuel injectors in several ways including the most common, with the use of noid lights. If the injectors don't have pulse the engine won't start. ---------- This troubleshooting tips will help you to solve the problem. Thanks. Helpmech.

Car want start ,it not the battrey car turn on and everything come on

If you are confirmed that battery is seated properly and its fully charged. Then get the battery voltage checked. A fully charged battery will give 12 volts in voltmeter readings. If the battery shows 12 volt then its confirmed that battery is good. But what about the battery connections,if the fully charged battery is not connected properly or its connecting terminals have got co-rodded or dirty or loose then this can be the cause.Remove the battery connections and reconnect it to their respective place. Then check. Also if the starter is faulty then it will not let the car to start,so get the starter checked. The starter gets power from battery to start the car. Wont start - the engine turns but won't fire

In addition to the battery voltage to "turn the engine over"...ignition requires spark and gas. so first check the battery voltage with meter.it should show 12 volts. If the battery is proper and fully charged you get 12 volts.

Replaced fuel pump and fuel filter and relays and the 03 lincoln navigator is still not starting? i have reset the reset button but still not getting power to the fuel pump, please help

Your pump is controlled by the PCM. Recommend you interrogate the relay socket to see if the PCM is trying to turn it on. You could also jump the relay there to see if the truck will start. If you want to jump the relay socket, be careful not to put 12 volts into the PCM. You want to jump the hot terminal to the load terminal, which should have a much lower resistance than the PCM. Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6022358-relay_check . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me.

1997 dodge ram won't start. My fuel pump does not run and coil won't spark. Iv'e checked fuses and relays and they look fine. Could a bad fuel pump cause the asd to kill power to the coil?

First check any ignition/fuel related fuses. Check to make sure you have 12 volts coming into the pump and coil. If nothing to the fuel pump replace the fuel pump relay - if you do have power to the fuel pump then replace the pump. If nothing is coming to the coil it is either an ignition relay or a wiring issue. If you have 12 volts to the coil but no spark then replace the coil.
Also the fuel pump/relay would not kill the coil.

Fuel pump relay

GM relays don't reset. My guess would be the electric fuel is not operating, For openers , I would start with the FUSE for the fuel pump. In a fuse panel UNDER THE HOOD. Should be marked. Probably a 30-40A maxi fuse. CHECK WITH A 12 VOLT TEST LIGHT. If that area passes all the tests, I would check for power to the fuel pump ( with the ign key on. 12 volt test light will go ON then OFF ) Could be a faulty fuel pump, Hope this helps
