I have a 1998 chevy cavalier. i had gotten ino a minor fender bender and busted the passenger headlight. i replaced the headlight and bulbs. now i have dim lights on the damaged side while all is well on the drivers side. i briefly checked the wiring around the crash site and all seems to be in tact with no scarres. what else could i check?

Check the ground wire from the light socket. It should be black and trace back to the body or frame. Make sure it didn't get damaged and is making good contact to the car. You want shiny bare metal to metal. Hope this helps.

1997 2.4 toyota cavlier where exactly on the car is the computer located?
It is inside the right front fender, just in front of the tire (passenger side). You will need to remove the forward wheel well skirt from the fender and front air dam to access. Providing its a Chevy Cavalier rather than the Toyota Cavalier which I'm not familiar with.

Fender bender, bought new assembly. How to remove old for replacement? "89 seville driver side headlight.
LIGHTING Headlights REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
  1. Unscrew the Torx retaining screws and remove the headlight bezel.
  2. Remove the headlight bulb retaining screws. These are the screws which hold the retaining ring for the bulb to the front of the car. Do not touch the two headlight aiming screws, at the top and the side of the retaining ring (these screws will have different heads), or the headlight aim will have to be re-adjusted.
  3. Pull the bulb and ring forward, then separate them. Unplug the electrical connector from the rear of the bulb.
  4. Plug the new bulb into the electrical connector. Install the bulb into the retaining ring and then install the ring and the bulb. Install the headlight beze
