My 2006 Equinox won't start after no problem it sounds like the gas isn't going to the carberator but the fuel line pressure says that gas is in the line when I press the pressure relase

It has multi port fuel injection so no carburetor. You need to measure fuel pressure with a gauge and check for injector electrical pulses.

Cylinders 2, 4, 6

It just can't do that. No way to shut down one side of an engine.
Misfires are caused by lack of fuel, spark, or compression. One of the three is missing. One whole side-that rules out spark. Coil pack design just won't affect one side of the engine. That leaves fuel or compression. Some multi-port injection systems are so-called "bank fired" -that is, one side or bank of the engine will pulse the injectors at the same time, first one bank, then the other. But in the early '90's, some cars came out with sequential fuel injection, which pulses the injectors individually, following the firing order of the cylinders, more precise fuel metering that way. I would have thought that an Avalon would be sequential injection, but you could check. Anyway, you need to check if the injectors are working on 2, 4, & 6. The power wire to all injector systems is a single wire that is spliced to each injector. Conceivably, the splice to that bank or side may have broken. With key on, every injector should have voltage at the injector connector. Only two wires to each injector- a power wire and a ground wire. If no power on 2, 4, or 6-that is probably it. (On bank fired injection, all three ground wires on each side splice together before the ground wire goes into the computer. With sequential, each injector ground wire goes to the computer separately.)
Beyond fuel, it is possible that the fuel/air mixture is being affected on only one side. If you have a noisy exhaust leak on that side, it could lean out the mixture.
Finally, low compression will cause a misfire. Possibly, a camshaft on that side is not in time. Only way to check is to do an engine compression test.

Locating cam postioning sensor

Probably not, then. My understanding of the cam position sensor is that it is for sequential multi-port injection, and not for the older style of multi-port injection. In sequential injection, the computer times the injector pulse to coincide with the intake valve opening, and so the need for a camshaft sensor. Before sequential, the injectors were often "bank fired"- all the injectors on one side or bank of the v-6, v-8 were pulsed at the same time. 4 cylinder engines were similar I think, two injectors at a time were pulsed. GM started using SEFI back around 1991, I think, but took a few years before it was widely used.

Not getting a negative or ground pulse at one of the injectors.

If you have sequential fuel injection, where each injector has its own dedicated ground wire to the computer, then I don't think re-setting will help for a single injector. But pull the connector off at the computer and make sure all the pins are good (none are bent or loose).
If you have a multi-port fuel injection (MPFI), then each bank (or side) of a v-6 or v-8 will splice that bank's ground wires together and enter the computer as a single grounding source for that bank (or side). This is called bank-fired (injectors on each bank pulse simultaneously). Not sure if a re-set would help this, check with the dealership.
Good luck.

Does the 1991 saturn have individual fuel injectors

if you look along the intake manifold where its mounted to the engine there should be 4 individual sensor looking components(one for each cylinder) with a 2 wire connector fastened to them, then you have multi-point injection(one injector for each cylinder).if not then you have what is called throttle body injection which is one body with 1or2 injectors that supply fuel to all the cylinders.this looks similar to a small carburetor located in the center area of the intake manifold were all the intake runners come together.

Lost inj. pulse need to know where the ecm gets crank position from. if from dist.how does it locate #1 1985 crovette

Lost injector pulse. First injector power is supplied by (IGN+) or fues block ,The injector are multi-potr not individual they are fired together, not individually, Now if you lost injection pulse youll need to inspect the Distributor, the pick up is highly suspectable to terminal corrosion, it corrodes easily,so be ready to replace the pick up with a module, (this is spark I know we are on Injector), Do you have spark, then leave this alone, Test injector pulse not at the injector because again its bank fire or group fired You ll need to test thes the connector harness connector,of the injectors. As long as there is spark you should have injector pulse from the injector sub harness connector make your way to the ECM , The ECM controls the energizing of the injector with a transitor or quad driver, they are synchronized to primary ignition . Here a solution if no spark correct for spark. Its either a Distributor pick up failure with ICM module.Do this only is you have no spark. If you have spark and no Injector ,replace ECM

1993 silverado will not start

ickshane,
First check all fuse and replace any bad ones you find. Even if it does not say anything related to the engine. GM has got me with this before I had one the ECM was connect to the Cigar. Lighter fuse and someone cell phone blew the fuse cause it to run in lip mode. if you find a bad one try starting it again. if that don't work read on.

I really need to know which engine and fuel system you have. Is it Throttle Body, Multi Port Fuel inject and does it have 1, 2, or 8 injectors.

If It has more than one to find the bad one with no tools you can unplug each injector one at a time. If it is a Throttle Body with 2 injectors watch the other one to see if it starts working. If it multi port It will probable start when you disconnect the bad one or try to start. Make sure you plug each injector back in after unplugging it.

this is the easy way with have tools and scanners to work with. if this doesn't help post again if you think you can get into deeper! But I would suggest an shop after this point because it will get technical form her on out.

It depends on the type of injection system your Astro has. If it has a Throttle body injection system, the injector is in the assembly on top of the engine on the intake manifold. If it has multi-point injection, it should have multiple injectors connected to the fuel rails on the manifold.
