Smokes and smells like gas at muffler

That has to be gas that is not being burned! No idea why blowing a fuse with the air compressor rashed your car like that - must be coincidental or collateral damage.

Where's the fuse for the AC on 98 Olds 88?

So what does the fuse that blows, protect?

You need a wiring diagram & start to test
the components most likely to cause a high
current draw & blown fuse.

Don't keep replacing it.

You know the fan control circuit works, but the
compressor doesn't stay on. Did you monitor
the compressor as the fuse blew?

May have a module for compressor & fan
If so one side failed
The compressor clutch could be bad

Will I be able to generate 15amps in my honda cigarette lighter to power tyre air compressor which is rated to work at that?

depends on the fuse rating for that circuit-you should be able to find that information in your owners manual, but if you do not have one,m plugging in the compressor and running it will determine if it is rated to rund that load-the fuse will pop, or it won't. 15 amps is not a large draw, you did not list the year and model but most power ports are 20+ amp rated and older cars (with cigarette lighters) were 30 amp.

Underhood fuse block swap out relay #7 thats the ECM relay.
Ground Circuits Using a DVOM, touch negative voltmeter lead to a good ground. Touch positive voltmeter lead to each ground terminal. With vehicle running, voltmeter should indicate less than one volt. If reading is greater than one volt, check for open, corrosion and loose connection on ground lead. See ECM GROUND LOCATION table for ECM ground location.

I cant find where the air suspension sytem is on my 1996 ford crown vistoria. The air bags on the rear tires will not inflate

make sure its turned on, the switch is in the trunk. The compressor is in RF area ahead of RF tire, the fuse which may be blown is in the fuse box at RF wheel under the hood. if the fuse is blown, its because the compressor has run too long trying to pump up the air bags which are leaking. it may need the bags and compressor, there are several companies that make springs for the rear to replace the bags.

Describe your 2000 Chrysler Town &

Look for a blown fuse or bad relay for the a/c in the front fuse box. If replacing fuse and it blows again, then there is a short circuit on the load side of the fuse which goes to the a/c compressor clutch. If fuse ok, try another relay to replace the possible bad a/c unit. The engine computer controls this relay. It also receives air temperature sensor reading from cold air path.

My aircondition on my 99 montana quit working.Replaced the blown fuse & it worked for less than a minute & fuse got blown again. Is the compressor bad?

The compressor runs off of the belt from the motor so its not likely to be the compressor but it may be the electric clutch on the compressor, or a short in the wiring, or the blower motor fan could be getting hung up. I'd buy a couple more fuses and run it for a minute a couple more times while listening for any abnormal sounds or check some of the wires you may find areas where the wires rub up against something or were accidentally damaged by any other work performed. Try running the heat and see if that trips the fuse, then run the fan on low speed, ect.

Air Conditioning Problem

Check your fan. You have air flow problems. If you don't have a fan clutch look at the electrical fan problems.
