I have a Saturn SL2 95' just had the engine, fule pump, fule pump relay, and fule filter replaced. They all have been tested and work fine. But the car still won't run, because the fule pump isn't getting power. When I hot wire the possitive charge of the battery to the fuel pump wire, the pump begins to work and you can even start the car and it will run for as long as you give it power. So everything works, I'm just not getting any power to the fuel pump. Any help? I keep reading about this kill switch (used to kill the power to the fule pump if the car is turned over) could that be the problem. And if yes, where can I find it and turn it off?

Look in the manual. Probably a little button on the kick panel in the front passenger seat, just in front of the door. It resets a relay which trips if you roll over.

SOURCE: saturn starts but will not keep an idle and dies

Sounds like you are pretty knowledgeable with the maintenance. With that said do you know if the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECTS) has been replaced? I'd put that at the TOP of the list of parts to replace next. If it hasn't been replaced it is the cause of a lot of problems.

The factory one is plastic and cracks. When it cracks it sends the PCM a signal that the engine is -40F below zero. The PCM will compensate by dumping A LOT of fuel into the engine to try and warm it up. It will cause all kinds of starting and idling problems.

Autozone or the dealer sells the better brass tipped one. The ECTS is located just under and behind the upper radiator hose. You'll need to remove the air intake tubing to see it or get to it. It has two wires going to it and goes into a connector. Squeeze the connector at the "ears" and it will come off. A 10MM DEEP well socket will take it out. Swap it quickly because some coolant will come out (a couple of ounces). Hand tighten it and snug it with the socket (not too much because it will strip out). Connector back on (either direction it's non polar). Put the intake back on and enjoy better starting and idling.

Testimonial: "thank you very much. youve been most helpful and i will let you know how it works out for me as soon as i replace the ects"

sometime a used trany needs to be driven, its been sitting, the valve body drys up and sometimes things stick, with a used trany you should always replace the oil and filter before running, after driving for a few days shifting should get smoother, good luck.

SOURCE: horn dosent work cant find relay 95 saturn sl2 2

Could be the switches inside the steering wheel. But much easier to swap the relay first and remove it as a possibility. You can also jump 12 volts directly from the battery to the horn with a long heavy wire just to make sure the horn is good. Saturn relays are to the left of the passenger's knee
behind a velcro fastened panel.

I would be considering testing/replacing engine coolant temperature sensor. A faulty sensor can send signal that engine is already warm when it is still cold, thus, less fuel delivery than needed at time of engine being cold.

The engine turns over. There is a spark. How do I tell if the fuel pump is pumping gas into the engine. I put at least 7 gallons of fuel into my 1992 Dodge grand caravan

Hi:
You can do some basic tests to check for fuel. A simple one is to take off the gas cap, and have someone listen for the pump to run for a few seconds when the key is turned on. you can also remove your fuel filter or check for fuel pressure with a fuel pressure guage too. Often you can get a guage loaned to you from the auto parts store, for just a deposit.

Starts up and dies

Let me explain real quick the fuel pump circuit, when you crank to start that is a straight circuit to the pump via a fuse in most cases, when the engine starts and you release the key the fuel pump relay is energized and keeps the fuel pump running, it sounds like the fuel pump run relay may be the problem with your car, replace it or bypass it to test, if you don't understand how a bosch relay is wired don't jump it yourself, you can burn up the wiring.

Fuel pump relay

If this happens every time you start your truck and it shuts off the same each time, you just might have a dirty fuel filter only allowing so much gas pass through until it clogs once again. I once had a chevy van, when I would drive it, would go a few miles and engine would shut down.   I would wait 10 or 15 minutes, it would start up and allow me to drive a few more miles then shut down again.  I changed the fuel filter, It was fine after that.

Engine cranks but doesn't start, if i spray fuel on the intake will start, i can heard the fuel pump working when I open the ignition

I had two similar probs with a blazer 4.3L the fule pump runs but with not enough pressure to start the engine you must have more fule pressure to start the engine than to keep it running.
also there is a rubber seal connecting the pump to the line in side the tank if the rubber ripped or cracked it fits your situation.
take the rubber out and rig it with a piece of 100 psi fule line and a couple og stainless steel gear clamps instead of buy ing all the expensive items. good luck.
