2002 Ford Focus SE Wagon Problem 1: Doors lock by themselves in cold weather. I use the key fob to unlock the doors, I open the door then when I close it, it relocks. On occasion it will immediately relock after hitting the unlock button. I know it's not the safety feature where it will relock itself in 45 seconds. Problem 2: The intermittent wipers do not work, and the rear wiper does not work. The 2 "manual" settings do work though and the rear washer fluid comes out Problem 3: the shift lever gets stuck in park and has to be manually moved by pressing the white button. Brake light switch was replaced several months ago and brake lights are working fine now. All three problems occured within days of each other, not sure if they are related or not.

this just happend to me a week ago.. I got locked in the car.. first my husband took out the fuse that make the auto lock work, then he took off the inside of the door panel inside the car because we could not open the drivers side door. He said the spring had broke and so the door could not unlatch itself he just bent the spring back.....now it works great

SOURCE: 2002 ford windstar lx Rear intermittent wiper not

Check to be sure there is not a seperate fuse for the wiper. Check power and ground at the motor. if you have power and ground replace the motor. if you don't, check for a break in the wires where the harness bends at the tailgate. take the interior door trim apart to unlock and open then inspect the inside of the door and all components. i can't really help with seeing it. the econolines have issues with the lock cylinders.

My 2002,ford focus se 5 SPD won't start at all no sound when key is turned. When key is in start position no dash lights come on and my anti theft light above hazards blinks continuously any ideas?

Verify battery condition by turning on headlights and seeing if they are bright. If ok, the theft system may be activated. Try locking and unlocking doors with the key fob. This will usually reset the theft deterent system.

i would say the theft module saw the door trying to be open without the door lock or fob first, once the door lock button was pushed it shut down, it new doors were trying to be unlocked in a theft manner, once shut down it needs time to reset or needs to see ignition cycle with key and read chip in key, smart system isnt it, good luck.
