    I have the same problem only sometimes it bogs down and then acts like it floods itself out and dies then and won't start for a couple of hours. Alot of times if you make too many trips in a day starting and stopping the engine like more than 3 times it won't start and you have to wait 2 hours before it starts. I have changed the fuel filter and coil packs and spark plugs 2 times within the last year. I have had it put on a scan tool at autozone and it just read junk no code. Help please????

I had the same problem. After being in the shop for several months, it turned out to be the theft system. A previous owner had changed the ignition module in the steering column, as the original one had burned out, and it would only run a few miles at the time. The owner gave me the car, because he couldn't figure out what was wrong with it.
It turns out that replacing the ignition module resets something in the theft system, which it recognizes as someones attempt to steal the vehicle. For some reason, my internal theft system would not accept new programing, and it had to be replaced. Hope this helps.

If none of those worked, try the fuel filter. some times it can clog. when you stop the stuff falls too the bottom and then when you start it is clogs it back up so it wont run. then you have to wait for it to fall again.

My 1995 jeep will die just driving and sometimes will start right back up other times you have to wait about an hour. fuel pump is working fine you can hear it

The pump can be running but not pumping any fuel.
When it stops running you will need to figure out if you are loosing spark to the plugs or fuel to the injectors.

Drivability problems after driving 20 - 30 miles

Try changing or switching out the distributor. Most likely getting hot and shuts down. Does it crank but no start whenever it stops? May only start when it cools down again.

1997 Trans am Cuts off then restarts shut down later

I have experienced a car with a heat sensitive crankshaft sensor so I would opt for that as my first choice. I doubt the fuel pressure regulator would cause your problem but it could be the fuel pump or water or dirt in the fuel tank.

Drive 5 miles and starts up fine, drive 30 miles and wont restart

Sounds like a fuel pump overheating. Drive until it wont start then check the fuel pressure. If no gauge when it wont start try some starting fluid. You should also check your fuel pump relay.

2.2 96 Sunfire will fail to start or if starts will miss.

From the way it sounds you have a fuel pump going out.The fuel pump on your vehicle is located in the gas tank .the gas tank has to be removed from the vehicle to replace the pump.

1998 4-Runner 3.4L 4X4 dies while driving

Hello;
Check your fuel pressure. Sounds like the pump is going away on you. Also change your fuel filter. Fuel pump is in the tank, filter is on the frame rail. Hope this helps; rate me highly.
Thanks;

1991 Mazda MX-6 starts and it dies within 30 seconds or less.

Check to see fi your fuel pump is functioning, also change the fuel filter. I had this same problem on a 1984 626. While i waited for the car to restart fuel would seep into the line to allow for the enging to startbe that was it.
