1989 f250 4x4 lighting problems. i replaced the floor mounted dimmer switch ,the lights worked fine for an hour untill i turned them off.Now the lights will not turn back on but i have park lights.
first thing i would check is the wiring were the plow wiring is spliced in at this is most likly the culprate. or you may have a bad multi function switch in the steering column
Its possible, myself i think it would be easier to put the sheetmetal from the 70 onto the 79 frame, but you can do it either way, but you might need a torch and welder, and a good drill and drill bits, i think if the cab mounts from the 70 match up with the mounts on the frame of the 79 it would be easier to switch the cab, box, and front end off the 70 to 79. there isent enough room here to explane everything, if you got questions i got answers. Just ask.
