1992 Plymouth sundance 3.0 ltre. Wires are good the feul n pump just repalced and still sometimes will not start or stop when running then restarts after 10 minutes. Interestingly the tachometer only kick in when running car; cold starts works until warms up. Could it be a cloged fuel filter, the ignition coil...

check voltage to battery with vehicle running it should be 14.25 volts .minimum 13.25volts. if voltage is not enough then voltage regulator ,and, or alternator is bad. make sure belt is not loose.

I had a similar problem with a dodge intreped after about 300 dollars I found out it was the oil sending unit was bad on my car it would go into a safety shutdown when the oil sending unit sent a faulty signal to the computer

I don't think a 92 sundance will shut the fuel pump down when the oil pressure is low, but it might. Can you get it to run on carb cleaner. If it is oil pressure, the car should start then run a few seconds and die. Have you checked the timing belt? If it broke the distributor will stop turning which would stop the oil pump.

Check all your vacum lines and make sure that your plug wires are properly secured this seems like a minor problem

the wire is feed by the asd relay as commanded by the computer to supply power upon seeing cranking rpm. the wire also feeds the injectors and other sensors. the wire you need is in a harnes that runs from the drivers side to the passenger side just behind the back of the valve cover.
