* P1698 PCM Failure EEPROM Write Denied

    "Manufacturer Contrl
    Auxillary inputs
    Auxillary Outputs"

    ?any thoughts as I have had the same prob with first, intermittent dashboard display failure, now with Service Vehicle Soon light and ABS light always on.

    so does your speedometer and all other gauges quit working from time to time? Cause I have a fix for that and it might take care of all your problems. Let me know

    Ron, I know this post is several years old, but I am having the same problem you describe above. All my gauges fail at one time and stay like that. It happens intermittently, as you say above, and now I have a P1698 code.

    hold down reset til codes Show on miles glass then push reset and you will see speed

    meter and tach and gauges Run test if it doesnt probably the output speed sensor by drivers side behind tire screwed in by 1 inch socket

How to get limp mode off with code P1698 on 2000 Chrysler town and country.

You should NOT be driving this vehicle if it is in limp mode. You will need to pay a Good Auto-electrician to look at this problem.
All modern cars and trucks are fitted with electronic control units referred to as the PCM and the TCM. P1698 refers to these units not communicating properly with each other. So the vehicle goes into a safety set up until the problem it fixed, Limp Mode.

p1698 code=No CCD message from TCM or No Transmission Bus Messages
It means the person's computer could not connect with yours.it's possible it was his problem if your not having any issues
