Wow how would you fit an adapter that size behind your stock stereo, and then sneak an aux cord through there without putting a hole in your dash... might as well buy a new stereo =/

Chevy uplander. Replaced stereo. Everything seems to work except the aux button does nothing. It does work to switch between radio and CD.

do you have an aux port on the front of the radio? otherwise the aux looks like it should work, but, it doesn't

My radio has an aux button, but no aux jack, is one hidden somewhere for use in different model style, ie sle, lx

if you have aux button there is a plug wire that mite be in the dash of the car, you could go to the radio manufacture website see if you can find the users manual, or installation guide, operational manual, the aux mite be a wifi option on other device of similar radio, that radio may have many versions and the version you got does not have that option with the cheaper version of radio that was installed when the car was made.
go to manufactures website, service, make, model,
it may need drivers to run the aux.

I cant find the aux plug for my 2002 chevy malibu. it says on one of the buttons cd/aux so that makes me think there is a plug in. it is the standard radio that the car was made with.

when the button says cd/aux it means that the socket on the back of the unit will TAKE a cd OR some other pre aplified source of music,NOT that you have BOTH.Some more modern units have a six stacker cd unit built in PLUS a socket for an MP3 player on the FRONT.

How do you remove the radio from the 2004 Mitsubishi Outlander? Do you know if there is an aux port in the back of the stock infinity radio?

Remove the 3 knobs for air system.
Remove the 2 small philip screws at bottom.
Pull bezel straight out.
Remove 4 larger philip screws on either side of radio.
Pull radio straight out.
To find out if your radio has "AUX IN", hold CD button for about 2-3 secs. If AUX appears on display your model has "AUX" connector in back. 2003 and early 2004 do not have "aux in".

I have the same exact problem, er 02

Try cleaning the CD with a CD cleaner that you can buy at any electronic store like Radio Shack. The CD lens may be dirty and is having a hard time reading the CD. Good luck and hope this helps, and yes your going to have to send the CD player out to have a aux jack installed. Look for any electronic repair shop to add the aux jack, good luck and hope this helps.

Aux input location

Though I'm sure there is an AUX button on the radio, there isn't actually an auxillary port on a 2007 Grand Prix stock radio.I'm sorry to say, but you would have to get an aftermarket radio.

Pontiac G6 radio change problem

Radios are programmed to the vehicle and sometimes they won't reprogram into another vehicle. All you can do is have the dealer try to unlock it, but most won't because of radio theft. They need verification of where the radio came from. E-Bay stuff may or may not be stolen.

Stereo

The aux is for the cd player, there is no wire in the back for an aux. But you can buy an adapter that splices into the back which allows you to use the stereo to control your ipod. It only works because you could have a 6 cd changer stock, so it uses those controls.

When playing a DVD the owner manual says to push the CD/Aux button on the radio to get the DVD sound to play through the cars speakers. This doesn't work. We can only get the DVD sound to come through...

Make sure the headphones are powered off. If you press the CD/AUX button twice the headphone symbol should disappear and it will play through the car speakers.
