I have a 1990 Oldsmobile Ciera with the 3.3 liter engine. The car starts and runs fine when cold, you can drive it for however long you want but when you turn it off and it sits for 10 min. after it has reached normal operating tempurature it will crank but will not start until it has cooled down ( about an hour) then you can drive it again until you turn it off then no start until it cools down, any ideas?? I have replaced the coolant temperature sensor, but still does it

SOURCE: Engine mount location for a 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera

This is a 4 cyl transverse mounted engine, and it has 3 engine mounts one in front and one on the subframe in the backside of the block and another holds the transaxel. If you have some poping sounds when starting or hard shifing of the gears, then one or more may need replacing.

SOURCE: How To Replace My Thermostat...HELP!

The temp sensor will be screwed into the block and will have a wire attached to it. Since you have seen it, you know how it looks. Look for it somewhere near where the radiator hose connects to the block/thermostat housing.

Screw it out and put the other one in -- pipe dope on the threads would help keep it from leaking. But it's possible it won't leak even without pipe dope.

It's about the size of a shotgun shell.
