Usually if you are having problems with a spark and you have verified that there is no spark getting to the plug you have two possible problems. It is either a problem with the wires or the distributor/coil. The wires will usually not all go at the same time so it would not be a problem in all cylinders. If you are having problems across the cylinders it is most likely the coil/distributor. This is a fairly simple job on most cars. Usually you just need a ratchet and socket set. If you talk to a sales rep at your local auto parts store they can get you the parts you will need and should be able to print off step by step directions for replacing the parts. It is usually no more than a 2 hour job.

Instructions to change spark plugs 3.3 v6 2006 hyundai sonata

very easy , do this when motor is cold, DO ONE AT A TIME ,I included a diagram of how to release coil pack, once coil is removed use a deep specific spark pulg socket it has a rubber insert to hold plug , and remove plug ,now get new plug and set the gap to 0.044ths and put a DOT of never sieze ( a solid lubercant that you can buy at part store for .99) on the threads of plug (just a dot,) now use just the plug socket and extention not the rachet to install new plug so you can feel the threads start ,once started screw in and tighten . that's it ,if you have any doubt go to auto zone library. good luck.

Can any1 tel me the firing order for 96 toyota windom 3.0 ltr. and which is no.1. spark plug

You started this job without consulting a repair manual? Did you set engine to TDC of compression stroke on number 1 before starting?
My hat is off to you for grit and determination, but I would never start something like this without a manual to refer to.
You can register for free at autozone.com and get firing orders, cylinder numbering orders, timing diagrams and information, and the complete repair procedure-all constructed from the factory service manual for your vehicle. Register with your make, model, year, and engine size. Do it, so you can get it right the first time. Good luck.

Timing belt crankshft postioning

the little dot on the crankshaft sprocket has to be aiming staight up and you will also need to remove the #1 spark plug to make sure the piston is at top dead center.you can check if it is all the way up by using a long, thin screwdriver and putting it in the spark plug hole.if the piston is not all the way up.you will need to turn the crankshaft 1 whole turn clockwise and stop when the dot on the sprocket is aiming up agin.the piston should now be at top dead center.i hope this information helps.take care and good luck, manny

Check your fuses, also I'm nt sure if there is no spark at all or just not at the engine so I will suggest scecking to see if there is spark at the coil, if not check to see if the cil is getting power. if there is spark at the coil then check the lead wire. If no spark at coil but power to coil then it's time for a coil. Good luck and remember to rate all solutions you get, thanx.

1996 v-6 misfires , i've changed the ignition coils what next

If it is missfireing it wasn't your starter coils for a start. A reason your car will missfire is the timing is out. If it starts and runs your timing maybe a 1/2 a degree out and needs adjusting. It may also be one or more of your ignition leads (from spark plug to coils). Easy way to tell is with a timing light just plug leads in one at a time and start your car if timing lamp doesnot light or lights only as missfires change your leads, check your timing also while you are plugged into number 1 spark plug put timing light onto crank shaft pully should light up as a white dot goes past (bottom pully wheel). If you don't have access to timing light you can manually do it just take number one spark plug out with a small but longish screwdriver(careful not to dint or scratch piston head) crank motor by hand useing bottom pully till number one pot is to the top and look at bottom pully if white dot not at top crank motor till pot comes up second time and check pully wheel again. If still dot not on top your timing is out and you need to adjust it. If you find it to be your timing leave me message and tell me if fuel injected or carbureted and if you have magneto or distributer and I will try to help you
