Was it a new manual transmission? If it was used, you may have gotten one with some wear on the bearings. There is only one place to put transmission into the transmission. Are you using the correct grease for a manual transmission?

Automatic transmission the car drives for 5 mins and will stop if i put it off and start again it will go for another five min

I believe the problem you do have with your auto-transmission,is with the electronics, probably with ECU of the gear box. By switching off the car and restart and the gear box works for five minutes and then the same thing again from the beginning, is like by switching off you do clear and reset the program of your ECU.
It is recommended to apply to a qualified Garage for a better and safe repair.
Good Luck.

Transmission

There are two types of transmissions in 1991 Toyota Corolla. Manual Transmission and Automatic Transmission.
1. Manual Transmission:
The transmission oil is checked through a level bolt which is provided to the left CV joint side in the middle of transmission. To check the oil level, park the car on a level floor, remove the level bolt with 22 mm or 24 mm spanner. If the oil starts coming out of this hole the oil level is considered OK. If not, top up the oil till it starts coming out and tighten the bolt. The recommended manual transmission oil grade is 75W/ 90W and total capacity is 2.4 Litres.

2. Automatic Transmission:
Warm up the engine, park the car on level floor, pull up the hand brake, gear lever stick in P, keep the engine start, let the radiator fan come on, take the auto-transmission stick out, wipe it with a clean dust free cloth, insert it in, again take it out, keep the stick in horizontal position and check the oil level. At operating temperature the auto-transmission oil level should be at upper level (Hot). If not, add oil to mach the mark. The recommended auto-transmission oil is Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Dexron II, and total (drain and refill) capacity is 1.4 Litres.

Where do i pour the new gearbox oil in when im replacing it on a 93 nissan 100nx 1600cc And where would i find a gti engine also

Is this an automatic or manual transmission? If automatic it goes into the transmission dipstick tube, if manual where is a fill plug under the car on the side of the transmission case. You will need a suction lube gun to put the gear lube into the manual transmission, fill to just below the fill plug threads. If auto make sure the transmission is hot to the touch before adding fluid, DO NOT OVERFILL EITHER TYPE OF TRANSMISSION, THIS GOES DOUBLE FOR THE AUTOMATIC GEARBOX.

Saturn SC2 manual transmission modification

Manual transmision gears actually bathe in oil and distrubute the lubrication around the gearbox simply by the gears being connected to each other. In these boxes, the oil is not pumped as it is in automatic transmissions.

Some automatics build up oil pressure to shift gears while others use computer control. Manual trannies do build up pressure slightly because the of the meshing gears and the forcing and displacing of oil between the teeth, but nothing like an automatic.

The fluid in auto transmissions is pumped through the filter like it is in the engine. Since manual transmissions don't have a pressurized oil system, you will need add a suitable pump which will take oil from the lowest point in the tranny case and run it through a filter head (available at any hydraulic supply house) and from the filter output, back into the tranny.

You could position the filter in the engine compartment if you like. It sounds like a lot of work with little benifit. You will still need to drill into the tranny to access the oil and back in to replenish it.

I would recommend placing a magnetic plug on the drain (if there is drain) to catch the worn metal parts. If your really eager, just change the tranny oil more often and clean the metal off the magnetic drain plug.

On a standard 94 corrolla, is tranny fluid used or gear fluid and how much?

Depends. If it is manual transmission, gear fluid; if it is automatic, then automatic trans fluid. I guess you are asking abot differential fluid, right? Auto trans fluid go into differential and AT gearbox. Gear oil go into manual transmission and differential.
